Following last night's presidential debate (10 September 2024) and Taylor Swift's endorsement of Kamala Harris, Elon Musk made a rather bizarre comment about the pop megastar.
Musk is so stranger to the spotlight, making headlines on a daily basis, most recently for his soon-to-be status of the world's first trillionaire. But last night things got...weird.

Following the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, Swift posted a lengthy statement on Instagram making it clear she was endorsing Vice President Harris.
One of the key points she highlighted in her decision was the rise of AI in the election campaign. Swift wrote:
"Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth."
Trump isn't the only one posting AI images like there's no tomorrow, Musk himself took to his own platform to post a controversial AI-generated image of 'Kamala Harris' dressed in a communist uniform. So perhaps it's no surprise he had something to say about Swift's announcement, though we weren't expecting... this.

Swift signed off her post as 'Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady' and it's that sign off that Musk seemingly chose to cling to.
Shortly after the post (which now has more than 8m likes), Musk posted: "Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life"
The post shocked everyone, even one of Trump's most ardent supporters Ian Miles Cheong, who responded: "My God."

People couldn't believe their eyes, with one user responding: "Am I reading this right that you are offering to have a child with Taylor Swift"
YouTuber JerryRigEverything also seemed shocked but took a comical angle, posting: "The 2018 version of Elon wouldn't have offered to impregnate Taylor Swift. Dudes changed."
Musk has 12 children, welcoming six with his first wife, Justine Wilson, three with ex-girlfriend Grimes and three with his Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis.
Despite all of these children, Musk's net worth seems to be growing at an exponential rate, with him on track to make history as the world's first trillionaire by 2027. Though he has been known to have a rocky relationship with at least one of his children, Vivian Jenna Wilson who branded the controversial tech billionaire a 'liar' just a few months ago.

Swift has not responded to Musk's bizarre offer, and I'm not expecting her to anytime soon.
