Everyone missed one key detail when Elon Musk offered to 'impregnate' Taylor Swift

Everyone missed one key detail when Elon Musk offered to 'impregnate' Taylor Swift

People are noticing another angle to the strange tweet

The discourse around the US presidential race just keeps getting weirder.

Since Donald Trump and Kamala Harris went head-to-head in their first debate, Taylor Swift weighed in with her thoughts and a response from Elon Musk has left a lot of people baffled.

In a statement posted to her Instagram page, the singer revealed that she would be casting her vote for Harris and her running mate Tim Walz.

In the post, she said that she’d been spurred to make her decision public after an AI image of her seemingly supporting Trump was shared on his site.

Swift said: “It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”

At the end of the statement, she signed ‘childless cat lady’ below her name, referencing JD Vance’s remarks about prominent Democrats being a ‘bunch of childless cat ladies’.

Things got strange when Musk responded to Swift on X, writing: “Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”

Understandably, a lot of people have been creeped out by the comment, with even Musk’s daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, speaking out against her father.

In her response, Wilson said: “The timing for the Taylor Swift endorsement of Kamala Harris honestly could not have been better. Can’t wait to see the Swifties at the polls. Vote blue.”

Remarking on Musk’s input, she added: “Heinous incel nonsense is in fact heinous incel nonsense.”

The billionaire has spoken before over his worries about a declining human population as he’s expressed concerns over low birth rates.

But there’s another element to his tweet that some people are saying that the majority has missed.

On September 9, Musk replied to someone claiming that residents of Springfield, Ohio, were reporting that ‘Haitians are eating their family pets’.

This unfounded claim was also expressed by Trump during this week’s debate.

Musk wrote on X: “Apparently, people’s pet cats are being eaten.”

This has led some to theorize that his ‘guard your cats with my life’ statement came from the conspiracy theory that migrants are eating their pets.

The Intelligencer wrote: “But Musk was actually saying, ‘Taylor, I’ll protect your beloved cats from the migrants trying to eat them.’”

Musk hasn’t clarified the meaning behind his tweet, apart from implying that it was a joke.
