Love them or hate them, Tesla's futuristic Cybertrucks have been out in the world for quite some time now, and they're pretty hard to miss.
After their release in November 2023, orders soon began piling up, and the buzz was strong between excited soon to be Cybertruck owners.
CEO Elon Musk described the vehicles as 'the future' - but driving around in the future won't come cheap.

And months after their initial release, the price of the vehicles seems to remain a hot topic of discussion.
Is it worth it? Do you get your moneys worth? Who would spend so much money on something like this?
These questions continue to circulate Reddit threads and social media discussions.
Well, one Reddit user who posted the receipt for his Cybertruck back in December 2023, left people in disbelief at the price he paid.

In total, user UTECHPIA reports that he paid an eye-watering amount for his model - a grand total of $122,135 (£97,345).
UTECHPIA wrote in a post: "WILL IT ARRIVE in 2023? What do you guys think?

"I'm so excited, I got the email invite to put in my order on Fri, Dec 8, 7:30 PM PT, and placed my order within 5 minutes!"
They're obviously a Tesla fan, and said they already own a 2023 Tesla MYP - and now a Cybertruck, assuming that they've received their highly anticipated order.
The receipt indicates that the Reddit user has bought the Cyberbeast - the top-line model - for $99,990 (£79,690), as well as paying an extra $20,000 (£16,000) to secure one of the foundation series, which means they'll get one of the first 1,000 Cybertrucks.

But wait, that's not even the full bill - UTECHPIA said in the comments that with taxes and fees, the total came to $136,814.01 (£108,993).
The price tag really shocked people.
"I really want to do this, but then I would be cyberhomeless," one Redditor joked, while another said: "Want one, but that price tag."
Another comment read: "I didn’t think anyone was going to buy it with the massive price hikes and feature reductions. I guess I was wrong."

Let me guess, you're thinking 'How could someone possibly afford this?'
You're not the only one - UTECHPIA said he sacrificed "other things in life to make funds for this. I have been planning this for 4 years", while adding that he works for a tech company full-time as well as having "a few side hustles".
After a turbulent first 8 months, it seems like the Cybertruck discussion isn't dying down.
However, it isn't always positive...
Some owners have been reporting ongoing issues with their vehicles, from aesthetic issues to cracked roofs and unexpected recalls.
With that said, we're sure nobody expected such a big vehicle to come without its 'quirks'.
