Car experts tested out ‘the worst reviewed car in America’ by taking it for a drive.
The YouTubers decided to put the most popular complaints of the vehicle to the test.
Uploading a video to their YouTube channel known as Donut, the pair were armed with a checklist of common issues people say they have experienced and decided to find out if these complaints were justified.
The car itself is a Vietnamese motor called the VinFast VF 8, which is a battery electric midsize crossover SUV and users of the motor have expressed frustration over certain issues.

Things like the startup sequence, blinkers, reverse and the battery are flagged as problems that the car has, so the YouTubers decided to put them to the test.
In the video, they said: “We're going to be testing a lot of different complaints that car reviewers had from simple things like the blinker being different to something as extreme as battery failure.”
After finding out that the startup sequence is considered ‘tough’ to figure out, they tried it for themselves and found that it took them over a minute to work out how to get the car started.
Trying out the blinkers, which they found wouldn’t turn off after turning.

One of the YouTubers remarked: “I'm annoyed that it's not off.”
They also found that the car wouldn’t steer for them to change lanes without the blinkers being activated.
Things weren’t all bad though - while many complaints had said that the car ‘shudders’ when put into reverse, the content creators didn’t encounter that problem.

So, did the car experience battery failure?
“In our case the battery did not suffer catastrophic failure, you get a pass there,” the YouTubers revealed.
Many viewers of the video took to the YouTube comment section to share their reactions.
One user wrote: “Imagine trying to avoid a collision but the car refuses to steer because you didn't turn on the blinkers.”

A second said: “The fact that it blocks you from changing lanes without the blinker is so dangerous. I've had plenty of situations where I needed to avoid some obstacle on very short notice (pot holes, animals, debris, even other cars etc.) the car might not see, and had to go over the line slightly. This car would just push me back into them.”
And a third added: “Rough start aside, I think it's exciting to see another country getting in the game. I sincerely wish them well.”
