One influencer has shared how posting on Snapchat has managed to net her tens of thousands of dollars every single month, and social media has been left staggered by the reveal.
Earning money on social media is old news nowadays, as most platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and even X (formerly Twitter) now pay their creators based on the engagement their posts earn.
You have creators like MrBeast topping Forbes rich lists and many have used internet content creation as a pathway to greater pursuits, but many still remain shocked at how much an 'average' creator can earn, especially on atypical platforms.

Nobody has highlighted this better than Julieanna "YesJulz" Goddard, who has been previously called the 'Queen of Snapchat' and even branded herself as 'The OG Snap Queen' in her bio on the social media.
Having rose to fame in 2014 through party hosting and artist management, Goddard has been a prominent poster on Snapchat and remains one of the biggest users on the platform.
Thankfully for her she's definitely getting her fair share back for her popularity, as she has revealed her monthly payments from the platform in a post on X.

Quoting a post that states "I'm sorry WHO is using snapchat in the big year of 2024," YesJulz pulls out an impressive comeback by showing that she has earned $32,416.70 by posting on the platform since the end of July this year.
This was then further backed up by another screenshot of roughly the same period in 2023 where she earned even more, bagging $45,284.40 with a record-high month of $15,553.10 in December.
It certainly goes to show that while it might not be the most popular social media out there, it's still definitely an avenue to explore if you're looking to make a career online.
Goddard reveals that "you get paid based on views," as Snapchat runs ads on your stories, although you do need to be a part of their creator program in order to quality.

This is what makes it near impossible for the average user to start earning, as the entry requirements state that you need to have at least 50,000 subscribers and either more than 25 million views or 12,000 hours of view time in the last 28 days.
For someone like Julz, who has been a prominent figure on the platform for many years now, this isn't too hard to maintain.

What's more impressive though is that she reveals that she only posts "10-15 days out of the month," stating that while she's very active when she does post, she's otherwise completely offline.
She could hypothetically double her current earnings if she was posting every single day then, but when you're raking in over $10,000 every month for posting stories on half the days, it's hard to really complain.
This is far from the first time that a social media creator's earnings have shocked the internet though, as streamer Ninja recently revealed his 'disgusting' record-breaking month, and it has been well publicized how much OnlyFans creators can earn too.
