Nothing splits society quite like an American election, and while the polls are now closed and Donald Trump has secured his place as the 47th President of the United States, there are applause and commiserations across the USA. Both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump had plenty of celebrity support, with the likes of Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga rallying behind the Blue Team, while Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, and Hulk Hogan all threw their weight behind the Red Team.
Even though Anonymous is already stirring the conspiracy theories, it's time to accept that Trump will likely be stepping back through the doors to the White House in January. With this acceptance, the tech bros of the world have united to wish Trump their best - even if their views don't always align with him politically.
Posting on X, Apple CEO Tim Cook congratulated Donald Trump on his win, saying: "Congratulations President Trump on your victory! We look forward to engaging with you and your administration to help make sure the United States continues to lead with and be fueled by ingenuity, innovation, and creativity."

The comments were immediately flooded with angry replies from both side. Namely, some accused Cook of tampering with the election, saying that asking Siri about the 2024 election would only show images of Kamala Harris.
One angry Republican wrote: "Tim Cook and Apple trying to make up ground with Trump so he plays nice with them as President. They tried to help Harris win though."
Another added,"Look at all the snakes come out of the grass," and a third said, "To all the liberal haters who are now kissing Trump’s arse…."
Someone against the Republicans wrote: "Thank you, that helped me decide to get rid of all our iPhones. My family won’t help fund domestic terrorism. You clowns might forget January 6th, but we haven’t."

There were plenty of calls to 'make Apple great again,' while others said that Apple needs to bring back manufacturing in the USA. Also, with Trump's win seeing Bitcoin prices hit an all-time high, others said the tech giant needs to get on the Bitcoin train.
The question of Cook's political leanings have been called into question before, with him being a firm ally of the LGBTQ+ community, calling out Trump's separation of families at the US-Mexico border, and promoting diversity and inclusion at Apple.
Still, cook has donated to both Democratic and Republican candidates over the years, while Trump claims that Cook recently called him to complain about fines the European Union was placing on Apple. They're also close enough that Ivanka Trump has given Cook the nickname 'Tim Apple'.

Trump and Cook seem to have a healthy working relationship, and in October 2024, the former said: "If Tim Cook didn't run Apple, if Steve Jobs did, it wouldn't be nearly as successful as it is now."
It's a smart move for Apple to get into bed with whoever the POTUS is, and during Biden's terms, Apple visited the White House 87 times, with Cook being present at 11. There are already rumbles of political turmoil over the next few years, so it's wise for Cook and the rest of the tech giants to strap in. We feel they're going to need their seatbelts.
