There's blood in the water and the sharks are circling, as it looks like Haliey "Hawk Tuah Girl" Welch's roller coaster of 2024 is about to end on a low. After finding fame for her viral 'spit on that thang' vox pop in June 2024, Welch quickly used her newfound fame to branch out into a variety of new endeavors. Although she says the YouTubers that made her famous have blocked her on 'everything', that hasn't stopped Welch from making the most of her Hawk Tuah brand with everything from a hit podcast to an attempt at getting into cryptocurrency.
Unfortunately for Welch, her $HAWK memecoin has already been branded "one of the most miserable, horrible launches I’ve ever seen" by crypto expert Coffeezilla.
As Welch copy and pastes a generic response and the overHere team behind $HAWK try to bat away accusations it was a 'pump and dump' scam, there's already a stack of legal filings and even questions about whether Hawk Tuah Girl could be facing time behind bars.

There don't seem to be many in her corner, and taking the current discourse one step further, influencer, boxer, and OnlyFans model Astrid Wett is lacing up her gloves. In an irate post on X, Wett wrote: "Hailey Welch is actually a disgusting person."
"She got famous with absolutely 0 talent. Ducked a boxing fight against me. And now lost me £50k through her rug pull crypto coin ."
Wett concludes by saying: "She needs to be arrested."

There are numerous reports of people investing in Welch's $HAWK and losing big, with someone else writing: "Hi @HalieyWelchX My $35,000 that I purchased of $Hawk is now $2,000 after 10 minutes of buying. I am a huge fan of Hawk Tuah but you took my life savings."
Of course, it's hard to tell who actually lost out on $HAWK's headline-grabbing failure. Welch and the team are accused of holding back the coin for themselves and then quickly selling it as a pump and dump 'scam'. Either way, Wett's post definitely sounds like fighting words. With Wett known for settling her differences in the ring, could we see some Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson-inspired fight?

This isn't the first time Wett has tried to fight Welch, so there could be more to the story. Back in August 2024, a post about Welch practicing mixed martial arts went viral, sparking theories that she could try out for the UFC. Welch even captioned her post saying, "Sign me up Dana White," although there have been no further developments. This also caught the attention of Wett, who challenged Hawk Tuah Girl to what she called 'the biggest influencer fight ever.'
We're not sure you can say Welch 'ducked' a fight with Wett if she never agreed to it in the first place, but either way, Wett suggests she wants payback for her supposed $63,000 loss on $HARK. If facing tough questions about crypto scams wasn't enough, now Hawk Tuah Girl has an angry Astrid Wett on her tail.
