Is there anything this girl can't do? In a year that's given us Brat summer, a jumping Elon Musk, Anthony Ammirati showing his own take on the 'pole' vault at the Olympics, and Glasgow's Willy Wonka Experience, Haliey "Hawk Tuah Girl" Welch has stood out from the crowd.
While some still question how Welch became famous, she's holding onto those 15 seconds of fame with both hands and really spitting on that 'thang.'
Keen to show she's got a business head on her, Welch has announced she's launching her own memecoin.

With Bitcoin breaking records and hitting its all-time high, cryptocurrency continues to boom in a post-election world. Now Welch is getting in on the action.
Posting on X and revealed during an episode of her Talk Tuah podcast with Mark Cuban, Welch announced her official $HAWK memecoin.

Proving there are any number of puns you can make from 'hawk tuah,' Welch has partnered with Web3 launchpad and platform overHere, hoping to 'redefine' memecoins and bring in a new consumer crypto.
Hyping the releases of $HAWK, Welch posted on X, saying: "Becoming a meme has been an incredible journey. I love making memes and connecting with people worldwide. With $HAWK, I want to bring that same joy and community spirit into the crypto space."
Saying that she knows a lot of her fans will be new to crypto, Welch wants to make the onboarding process as easy as possible. Free $HAWK tokens will be distributed to her followers via allowlist campaigns, while others can get them through meme and NFT communities - yes, NFTs are apparently still a thing.
If you want a piece of Hawk Tuah Girl's memecoin pie, the $HAWK token will start trading on Solana on December 4. This gives fans time to join the allowlist and hopefully make for a smooth launch.

The move has proved divisive, with many taking to the comments to call her out. One skeptic said: "No one saw this coming. The whole ecosystem is shocked and is very very excited for this.* *This is complete sarcasm."
Another grumbled, "Ah sh*t we lost her to the meme coin bros," and a third said, "We are definitely in a bull market with pump and dumps left and right."
Despite her naysayers, Welch has previously shown an interest in cryptocurrency. She spoke at both Nashville's Bitcoin Conference and Korea Blockchain Week, apparently making connections with key figures in the community.

This isn't Welch's only venture to branch out from being TikTok famous and having her face slapped on merch. She's also showing her tech credentials by launching an AI-powered dating app known as Pookie Tools. Love or loathe the Hawk Tuah phenomenon, it doesn't look like Haliey Welch is going anywhere just yet.
