Even though World War II officially ended on September 2, 1945, it feels like the world has never been without conflict since. From the likes of the War in Vietnam to the Cold War, the Gulf War to the Iraq War, we've somehow managed to avoid a full-blown World War III. Still, as the geopolitical situation seems to heat up by the day, there are obvious rumbles that World War III could be closer than ever.
Although artificial intelligence fears that President Donald Trump's tariffs could trigger World War III, some suggest we're already in the midst of it without even knowing. There's a reason the Doomsday Clock is closer to midnight than ever before, and with it, whispers of World War III are more prevalent than ever.
Russia is poised to be a major player in a potential global conflict, and with the country issuing some chilling warnings, it's no surprise many people are talking about Vladimir Putin having his finger hovering over a big red button.

One Russian propagandist has exasperated fears of World War III after he seemingly delivered a nuclear threat against the United Kingdom in the aftermath of Volodymyr Zelensky's disastrous meeting with Donald Trump.
Known for being a 'mouthpiece' to Putin, pro-Kremlin TV anchor Vladimir Solovyov has put the UK and its 68 million residents in his sights. Taking aim at Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the supposed 'coalition of the willing', Solovyov has warned about the looming threat of nuclear warfare.
While hosting Sunday Evening With Vladimir Solovyov, the Russian journalist said: "You don't understand the main thing. We see right through your coalition of peacemakers, who are not peacemakers but basically interventionists, will be destroyed."

Solovyov has previously branded the UK as 'totally boorish' for supplying weapons to Ukraine during the ongoing conflict between it and Russia, and in his latest outburst, it looks like he's taking issue with Starmer saying he could send peacekeeping troops to Ukraine.
He continued: "You have to realise that not only the frontline units you're planning to deploy on the territory of Ukraine will be destroyed, but since we can't perceive it in any other way other than the direct participation of your countries, you will feel the consequences, the likes of which you have never seen."
If that wasn't enough to have UK residents fearing that the nukes will soon be raining from the sky, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan went on to mention a recent article from The Times that suggested the West is 'backing down'.

Simonyan expanded: "The article basically says, 'Should we keep going? If we go on that means we have to send our troops. Is the British public ready for this? Because our people may perish.'
"It's not that they may perish. They will certainly perish. We will kill them all."
All of this comes after Solovyov previously targeted the UK and said that one RS-28 Sarmat missile would equal "minus one Great Britain." It's not just the UK in the firing line, as Solovyov also alluded to France, Germany, and the Baltic states, saying: "All of your howling will not help you...Your fate will be sad."
