Gamers speculate GTA 6 leak answers one of the biggest questions surrounding the game

New unverified leaks have hinted at something many GTA 6 fans are dying to know

Gamers are becoming desperate for any slither of information ahead of the long-awaited release of Grand Theft Auto 6, and a new set of leaks has seemingly answered a question that many have been desperate to clarify.

There's no doubt that GTA 6 is one of the biggest releases in the gaming world this century, as fans have now been waiting for 13 long years for a sequel that still doesn't have a concrete release date.

While there might be some hope soon as we approach the next Take-Two earnings call, questions surrounding the game's potentially hiked price tag aren't the only thing on many fans' minds.

When it comes to the game itself, one of the biggest talking points concerns the size of the map - especially as we know it'll be taking place in the same Florida-inspired 'Leonida' and Miami-like 'Vice City' that we've already seen in GTA games of the past.

Both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 had huge maps of around 30 square miles each, but with the extensive development time that's been poured into the game, many are wondering if GTA 6 will take things a step further and include areas of Leonida beyond Vice City itself.

However, as reported by Screen Rant, a new leak appears to suggest that won't quite be the case.

As with all leaks you have to err on the side of caution as there's a strong likelihood that the information is entirely false, yet there's still plenty of fun to be had in speculation.

While the leak itself has no specific mention of the map's size, its focus on a new gameplay feature involving 'tourists' has many inferring that the area of play won't be as big as some anticipated or hoped.

The now-deleted account details that tourist NPCs seemingly from former GTA game locations like Vespucci Beach (GTA 5) and Algonquin (GTA 4) are designed to appear during specific days or windows in-game, and are linked to other NPCs such as 'Conference Visitors' and 'Beach Goers'.

Many are taking this to mean that GTA 6's map will be restricted to the more tourist-heavy Vice City, although keen eyes have spotted more rural areas that appear similar to places further away from Miami in the game's first trailer, so it's still up in the air.

There's certainly no reason why the game couldn't have both a bustling main city and extended rural areas, as both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 have exhibited the ability to balance both, although we won't know for sure until Rockstar reveal more information or the game is finally released.

When it comes to whether people actually believe this leak is another question too, as the comments seem to be rather split.

"I feel like this information is not as far fetched as a bunch of other 'leaks', so I want to be optimistic and hope this post is real," writes one hopeful commenter. "And even if it is just a troll, all of this honestly seems in the scope of possibility anyway."

"Nice, the problem is: you may be telling the truth, you may be full of s***," writes another. "We cannot know, so this is pointless anyway."

Hopefully it won't be too much longer until we hear more from Rockstar itself though, but you certainly can't blame fans for wanting to believe as they're so desperate for any morsel of information to tide them over - although a new photorealistic mod for GTA 5 might also do the trick.
