Sure it's great to have an actual retro console to play retro games but sometimes you just need all your digital needs in one place.
A tech expert shares a secret hack that'll be a dream come true for retro gamers.
The TikTok video demonstrates how iPhone users can turn their device into a Game Boy device.

The tech expert introduces the video by saying that, unlike Android devices, there is no emulator you can download directly from the Apple store.
Instead, iPhone users must head to the Safari browser and type in the website eclipseemu.me.
Users were then shown to add this website to their home screen by clicking the Share button, which they rename to anything they like.

The TikTok creator doesn't directly show users how to get games for obvious reasons but does say a quick Google search will give the answer.
Once you have your game installed, you can open it up in the Eclipse browser shortcut by going into your files and locating the game file.
For ethical reasons, the creator advises you to 'be a good person' and to 'not get games that you don't own.'
And the result actually looks pretty accurate and neat. The red background and simple button layout nicely resemble that of a Game Boy.

The tech expert admits that the end result is 'pretty cool right?' and 'my childhood's coming back to me.'
Although it may not replicate the exact design of a Game Boy, it sure does the trick to play some oldies and indulge in some nostalgia.
Phone users can also flip their screens sideways for a full-size view, making the gaming experience even better.

However, not all are convinced as others prefer the simplicity of Android where you can legitimately download emulators straight from the Play Store.
One responded: 'Yeah next year imma go back to Android. Apple is good use is very friendly but i miss the freedom of the apps.'
This is just one of the many web-based emulators that you can download on your smartphone and relive the glory of retro console games.
Although best to be aware when proceeding with any emulators online as downloading anything from websites carries its own risk.
