It's easy enough to scroll through TikTok for hours as videos play in a constant loop down your feed, but what if there was a way to make the viewing experience better?
There are some tricks on the video-sharing social media app that you might want to avoid or at the very least be careful of, including this one that lets Samsung users listen in to other conversations, but one tech expert has figured out how to make the watching experience that bit more 'clean'.
Unlike the long-deceased Vine - which had a six-second limit for videos - or something like YouTube - which prioritizes cinematic viewing in full-screen mode - TikTok has seemingly no means of removing the UI elements around the edges of the screen.

This can become quite frustrating to deal with if you're watching longer videos as they can often get in the way of information on screen, but this new trick thankfully allows you to just focus on the video itself with no distractions.
Shared by user @tatechtips, they reveal that if you use two fingers to quickly zoom in to the video, most of the UI elements are removed giving you an uninterrupted view.
This includes the side elements like the like count, comments, and shares, alongside the caption and info panel at the bottom of the screen.

You can still view the progress bar at the bottom in order to skip through or pause the video, but all of the other elements have been hidden from view.
Once you're done with the video you're watching, all you have to do now is pinch inwards to zoom back out and everything will return to normal again.
The comments are rightfully full of people both in awe at this discovery, and those who are able to brag that they were already aware of this trick.

"Ok this is the best tip ever! (fire emoji)" declares one user, whereas another points out the rather embarrassing fact that "everybody that watched this video definitely tried it." You just can't resist!
Some have expressed their frustrations that it's not working for them, wondering if they "need to update the app", whether it works on iPhones at all, or whether they simply just have a 'budget' phone compared to some others.
It should work fine if you're able to use the TikTok app on your phone though, so you might just need to work on your technique if you're having trouble.
Regardless though, this could be the very best way to watch content on TikTok - especially those on the longer side - so definitely try it out next time you're on the app if you haven't already jumped over.
