Popular Twitch streamer FaZe Lacy recently went on a rant where he claimed 'streaming is harder than a full-time job' and people are not happy.
Making a career out of social media is still a pretty new phenomenon. 'Streamers' just 15 years ago were nothing more than something you'd get out for your kids birthday party.
But now, more people than ever before are fostering careers as online creators — from streaming video gameplay to vlogging their every day lives.

One such streamer is FaZe Lacy — part of the FaZe Clan and known for streaming the game Fortnite, Lacy currently boasts 788k followers on Twitch.
He recently got in hot water however after claiming in a rather hot-headed stream that streaming on Twitch was 'harder than a full-time job'.
Lacy said: “I genuinely think that streaming is harder than an actual job. Go ahead and laugh. Tell me it’s not harder to have to fly 17 hours all the way out to Japan, have jet-lag, be tired, then when you get here, you have to walk around in the hot sun… and then you have to stream yourself shopping for clothes and going shopping for 6-8 hours a day.”

He continued: “That’s genuinely hard compared to working a normal job where you just go in for six hours every day, because normal jobs work what 30 hours a week?” Many pointed out that most 'normal jobs' go for at least 8 hours per day.
Lacy went on: “Like, you guys have to understand it’s way harder to stream. And I have to go around and mog everybody, walk around in public, talking to people, trying to interact. It’s hard to have those social skills.”
After the account @scubaryan posted the clip to X, viewers had a lot to say.

One joked: "He doesn’t even know what full time hours are 😂😂😂😂 bro said 30 hours a week"
Another simply said: "kid needs a reality check"
Following the backlash, Lacy responded on X: "yall are so quick to come at me but don’t understand it from my point of view because you aren’t in this position having to shop all day and socialize in the hot sun being jetlagged… stick to your 9 to 5s lol"
This response seemed to infuriate viewers even more with one account replying: "Try a real job once 🫵🤡"

Another posted in response: "Bro couldn’t handle a single shift doing what I do lol 😂"
Lacy himself actually reposted the initial clip that went viral on X, so it doesn't look like the comments are changing his mind any time soon.
