It's the end of an era for the tech world, as one of its most recognizable faces is leaving his current YouTube channel behind and heading to pastures new.
As the name suggests, the regular video beat from Pocketnow Daily has given us updates on the mobile technology world, taking our tech on the go with everything from phones to smartwatches.
Jaime Rivera has been a staple of Pocketnow Daily for years, but sadly, there's a changing of the guard.

After some 17 years and an estimated 4,000 videos, Jaime Rivera has posted his last video for the YouTube channel.
Saying he was debating the best way to deliver his final video, Rivera said he decided to go out the old-fashioned way.
Giving us a rundown of the latest tech news and rumored iPhone 17 Air, Rivera then explains why this is the end.
Thanking his loyal audience, Rivera continued: "I've struggled to even figure out how to properly thank you all for this crazy ride that I've been in, in my case, for the last 17 years until last month."

Saying how Pocketnow has evolved over the years, it originally started as a channel for the Pocket PC operating system before being focused on Windows Mobile, Android, and now iOS as well.
Unfortunately, this mobility is why Rivera suggests it's time to end things and go on a new ride. Saying he tried to take Pocketnow with him but it wasn't 'his call,' his next venture is still within this 'realm' but will be something different. He refers to the next project as the biggest thing he's ever done, recruiting five people and will be launching in January. There there three different aspects launching in 2025, with the first two in January and a third in June.
Rivera concluded: "Pocketnow, I can only say thank you to all of you for watching for so many years, thank you to all the brands who partnered with us, became really close to us, and gave us a chance at a time when we were nobodies.

"To be able to grow this into something has been such a dream."
The comments to his final Pocketnow video were similarly heartfelt, with one fan writing: "Missed those times when my feeds were all from Phone Dog (Aaron, Noah), TechnoBuffallo (Jon), Pocketnow (Micheal, Jaime) and more. thanks for the memories, Jaime. All the best!"
Another gushed, "Pocketnow and Android Authority were my go-to Channels 15 years back. I purchased my first smartphone Galaxy Note 2 after watching reviews of these.
You have made millions of people like me informed, happy and educative through your videos. Thank you Jaime. Already subbed to your new channel."

Michael "MrMobile" Fisher concluded: "We've had so much fun over the years bud, but always on the back of the great work you churned out (literally) day after day.
Thanks for teaching me a new Final Cut feature every year for the last decade-plus – and for helping bring me into this crazy world of ours to begin with."
It's unclear what will happen to Pocketnow Daily after Rivera's departure, but he's pointing fans toward his personal channel for updates on what's next.
