Death isn't exactly painted in a favorable light, yet you'll look forward to it even less now that you've seen this disturbing simulation, as it reveals the exact process your body goes through once you pass away.
Often simulations are geared around the effects of certain things on your body, letting you see how smoking a cigarette can immediately alter your lungs, or the effects of weight loss drugs like Ozempic on your stomach and brain.
However, perhaps some of the most fascinating videos unveil what happens after we die, as both your body and your brain go through troublesome transformations that would be otherwise impossible to observe outside of a simulation.

YouTuber Zack D Films is known as the master of these bodily simulations, having created a number of videos that will likely leave you feeling nauseous more than anything, but one he's made on the process your body undergoes following death is as fascinating as it is disgusting.
The video begins with the disturbing reveal that, shortly after death, your blood begins to pool in the areas of your body that are closest to the ground. This results in purple and red patches across your skin, yet unfortunately that's far from the worst part.
After that, bacteria and enzymes then break down your organs, releasing gas and essentially blowing your body up like a giant blotchy red and purple balloon.

Within a few weeks though that bloating has disappeared, but it's thanks to the fact that your organs, soft tissue, and even your eyes have all liquified, leaving just your skin and remaining bodily tissue which decays and falls off over the next few years.
You're then left as just a simple skeleton that you'd typically associate with the dead, which while morbid in of itself, is far less gross that the revolving transformation that your body experiences previously.
One comment reveals that, based on the presumption that you're buried properly inside a casket, it actually takes around 12 years for your body to fully decay, but whether that's a good thing or not I'll leave you to decide.

"That's why some people are afraid to die," writes one commenter, with another adding that "the fact we are all going to go through this is unsettling." At least it's not something that you'll have to experience or feel, but it doesn't make it any easier to think about!
"It's sad to think that no matter how much someone takes care of their skin their whole life, it will eventually decay," writes another comment, adding that "nothing lasts forever."
Someone might want to tell infamous biohacker Brian Johnson that though, as his extreme measures to avoid death - which include erection tracking - will likely still leave him in the same state as everyone else if his plans to live forever don't come to fruition.
