If there's one internet superstar that you can point to that has created their own empire it's Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson, as he's not only amassed more subscribers than any other YouTube channel, he also has a wide variety of successful business ventures under his belt.
Feastables, Prime, Lunchly, and even his very own game show 'Beast Games' on Amazon Prime - MrBeast seems to have it all, but he's offered a warning to his viewers that, despite all the glitz and glamour, his life would be 'miserable' for the average person.
You certainly wouldn't be blamed for scoffing at that comment, considering Donaldson has topped Forbes' creator rankings with earnings of $85,000,000 in 2024 alone, but they do say that money can't buy happiness after all.

As reported by Fortune, when speaking to the Diary of a CEO podcast, MrBeast claimed: "There's a reason no one makes videos like me, because no one wants to live the life I live or be in my head, they would be miserable."
Lamenting on the amount of traveling he has to do for his career, Donaldson also adds: "If you don't travel constantly, life is so easy when you just wake up in your own bed. Waking up in your own bed and working 15 hours in your office or whatever, so easy compared to all this f***ing bulls*** where I don't know the time zone I'm in, I don't know what place I'm in, I don't know where I'm going in two days, it's like some days I'm going to bed at 10am other days I'm going to bed at 5pm, it's a mess."
The addition of Beast Games also appears to have made his life even more challenging to manage, as he had to stay on top of that while "basically working every hour my eyes were awake." Certainly doesn't sound like he has a lot of free time, which makes having all that money a bit useless.

This isn't the first time that he's stressed the difficulties of his working schedule, as he's previously expressed similar sentiments on social media.
"In order to upload weekly videos later this year I've been filming every single day (and only have a couple days off filming between now and end of year) and I'm dying mentally," Donaldson revealed in a post on X two years ago.
Another tweet had him remarking: "You think I'd give up every hour of my life for 14 years if I didn't have fun?"

This has led some of his fans to lack empathy with his situation though, especially when it comes to his claims that he works seven days a week:
"I mean, I do and my job is at f***ing Walmart," lamented one commenter in reference to Donaldson's claims that working this much isn't fun. "Life is good when it is."

"You mean working really hard and pushing yourself for the sake of your work and other isn't the most fun activity a person can do," sarcastically remarked another, while others offer their concerns about MrBeast's health.
"I love his content, but I feel lie him doing this he's pushing quantity over quality, while also setting his health at risk," writes one user, with others adding that "I feel like he is going to crack at some point. There is no way he will keep this going for years to come."
Yet, years later he's still going - arguably at a greater pace that he ever has - yet from the way he talks it's not exactly an enviable life for many, despite the fame and fortune that come bundled with it.
