An eerie video shows a simulation of what it looks like to lucid dream and it’s making people emotional.

Lucid dreaming is a type of dream where the person realizes they are dreaming while they’re asleep.

It’s not easy to achieve, but the ability to have lucid dreams is actually a trainable cognitive skill.

During one of these dreams, the person asleep is able to control what they do or experience as they can suddenly steer the narrative in whatever way they want.

When someone is able to successfully lucid dream, they can choose what they dream about, sometimes acting out scenarios that they want to happen in real life or things that might be impossible for them to actually happen.

In a YouTube video uploaded by Explore Lucid Dreaming, they depict what it might look like to experience one of these kinds of dreams.

Different scenes take place throughout the clip, including swimming with dolphins, riding huge roller coasters or playing in an important football game.

Throughout the footage, tranquil music plays and in the video description, it says: “What Lucid Dreaming looks like in first person view.

“Lucid Dreaming is when you realize that you're dreaming... you can control it and do whatever you want.”

It certainly left an impression with viewers who took to the YouTube comment section to share their own thoughts and experiences on the subject.

One user wrote: “Bro this video is so calming until that alarm and then everything goes to s***.”

Another joked: “Props to the camera man for entering his brain and filming.”

Others found it emotional, with one person adding: “Why did this make me cry? It feels like I'm being guided throughout someone else’s life and their best memories…” and another wrote: “If I'm being honest, I started tearing up because this is so beautiful and well made, one of your best videos by far.”

A fifth shared their own experience, saying: “I watched your channel, I tried to lucid dream, it didn’t work so I gave up. One or two years after that I tried to do it again. I watched all of your videos and one night I finally lucid dreamed! It was amazing. Your videos helped me have 7 lucid dreams!”

And one person posted: “The best thing is when you have a lucid dream mid nightmare, you became the slayer, I just pulled a flamethrower out of nowhere, gotta love lucid dreaming.”
