Wellness CEO Kayla Barnes-Lentz is another one of the growing numbers of people committed to the practice.
Before her first date with her husband Warren Lentz, she made sure he was on the same page about health and wellness.
Speaking to The Independent, she shared: “I want to live as long as my husband. That is why I put so much effort into optimising both of our health,” she added. “We plan to live to 150 in excellent health.”

She connected with the 36-year-old on a dating app last summer, and the pair spent a month exchanging health stats along with the usual flirting.
The conversations included details about Warren’s gut health, toxin levels and nutritional status.
Though Warren was living in California and Kayla in Cleveland, he was willing to have all the health tests she requested.
A year later, the two are happily married, and Kayla believes that prioritising health from the start was key to their relationship’s success.

“I had never had anyone ask me for my health labs in the context of dating,” Warren admitted.
“But I liked how she was confident about the fact that that was important to her.”
Kayla said: “My profile featured my interest in health optimisation and longevity!

“Health was brought up immediately - I took our first FaceTime call from my longevity clinic and showed Warren all of our tech, such as a multi-person hyperbaric chamber, ozone sauna, red light bed, cryo chamber, and more.
She continued: “I also asked for his labs on our second call, then I sent him additional labs to complete including a gut test, comprehensive blood work, genetic test, and total toxic burden test.”
Their first in-person meeting was at Cleveland Airport, and Warren was soon introduced to Kayla's home filled with 'health robots' including red light panels and a $7,000 sauna in her bedroom.
“We were pretty intentional, which I loved,” added Warren. “If other people heard [about the date], it might not sound super romantic, but it was so exciting to us. It was what we had been waiting for.”
