While they might seem like the best of friends right now, old posts have resurfaced where US President-elect Donald Trump rips into Elon Musk.
Elon Musk and US presidential election winner Donald Trump has been practically inseparable since the latter's victory in early November, and the self-proclaimed 'first buddy' has benefitted greatly from this special relationship.
Not only has the Tesla and SpaceX owner added $26bn to his already staggering net worth, but he's also been given a new governmental role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in an attempt to save America from 'bankruptcy'.

Unfortunately for him this strong bond hasn't always been the case though, as footage has resurfaced where the President-elect 'savagely' rips into the tech billionaire at an election rally.
A clip of a July 2022 rally, posted by Breitbart News, shows Trump criticizing Musk's former election voting decisions, while also giving choice words about the now X owner's reliability:
"You know he said the other day 'Oh I've never voted for a Republican' and I said 'I didn't know that'. He told me he voted for me. So he's another bulls*** artist but he's not going to be buying [Twitter]."

While it might appear unbelievable now that the two are so closely connected, it certainly showed that the pair weren't exactly on the best of terms a few years ago.
In typical Musk fashion the tech mogul responded to this clip on Twitter, posting: "I don't hate the man, but it's time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset."
I bet he's glad that his assessment didn't come to fruition now.
He continued on to argue that the "Dems should also call off the attack [on Trump]," adding that they shouldn't "make it so that Trump's only way to survive is to regain the Presidency."

While it was clear at the time that Musk was not exactly a Trump fan, and was 'leaning towards' supporting Ron DeSantis if he decided to launch a Presidential campaign, this urge to the Democratic party has proven to be quite chilling, and also beneficial to Musk himself.
Musk has, of course, since changed his tune by heavily supporting Trump's successful reelection campaign.
He has been accused of misinformation and tampering, to the point where his own AI chatbot Grok has grown 'tired' of him, but their now-mended relationship might allow some some rather wild ideas to happen.
