Standing at 1,500 feet tall, Central Park Tower is the tallest residential building in the world.
Developed by NYC-based Extell and designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, the building in Manhattan, New York City offers everything beyond living quarters.
Last year, YouTuber and listing agent Enes Yilmazer took viewers on a tour of the luxurious penthouse but people don't think it's all it's cracked up to be.

'When you live above sound, when you are high enough above the concrete jungle [that is New York City], there is something about the passage of time when you're in this home that I've never experienced anywhere else in the world,' listing agency Ryan Serhant said in the video.
The penthouse spans three floors with over 17,000 square feet of interior space, plus an additional 1,433 square feet of outdoor terrace. Here, you can observe the most 'jaw-dropping views of the entire city and beyond.'
It totals seven bedrooms, eight full baths, two half-baths, a floating spiral staircase and a private elevator connecting the two floors.

Additionally, there's a washroom, media room, formal dining room, an observatory lounge with telescopes and a smart office facing Central Park.
It's not just the tallest penthouse in the world, it was also once the most expensive. The cost of buying the place above the clouds would cost potential buyers $250 million.
However, as beautiful and luxurious as the place is, people are saying the price isn't worth what's offered.
'Imagine spending 250 million on an apartment and the shelves in the office are not even aligned properly,' one YouTube user commented.

Others noticed the amount of pigeon poop on the kitchen windows which brought viewers 'back to reality.'
The penthouse is so expensive that the real estate agency has slashed a good chunk of the price.
'One year update: Place is still for sale. They chopped $50 million off the asking price,' one user reported.

People have jokingly responded with replies like: 'Thanks! I can finally afford it now' and 'Once they chop off another 190 million, they'll have interested buyers for sure lmao'.
After a year on the market, the asking price is reportedly now $195 million, which is a 22% reduction from its initial asking price.
However, it failed to sell in the first year it was listed.
With the massive price drop, the Central Park Tower has now lost its title as the most expensive penthouse.

In its place of 'America's priciest home' is 220 Central Park South apartment at $238 million which was purchased by billionaire Ken Griffin in 2019.
