Nothing says 'Happy weekend!' like free PlayStation credit.
If you remember the big PlayStation Network outage from last month, then listen up.
On 7 February, millions of PlayStation users found themselves unable to access online services for 24 hours.

This included everything from multiplayer servers to the PlayStation Store but also a lot of single-player games were inaccessible since many now need an internet connection to run.
While everyone felt the impact of what Sony called an 'operational issue,' only PlayStation Plus members are getting a little something back.
As compensation, PlayStation announced that PS Plus users would receive a five-day extension on their subscriptions.

Not everyone is pleased about it - with many demanding refunds - as players without PS Plus were still affected by the outage but have not been included in any compensation.
Sony has been rolling out the extensions in batches over several weeks, but some are still waiting to receive theirs.
If you're a PS Plus member and want to check if you got it, head to your settings and select ‘Users and Accounts’, then ‘Account’, then ‘Payment and Subscriptions’, and finally ‘Subscriptions’.
You’ll need to know your original subscription end date to spot if five days have been added. If you’re not sure, check your email from when you first signed up, there should be a confirmation in there.

If you don't see any extra days added yet, don't worry as Sony are still in the process of rolling them out.
Whilst Sony has not confirmed an expiration date as to when you can claim this free credit, it's worth also getting in touch with PlayStation’s customer services team.

One Reddit user did this and posted: “To anyone who didn’t receive their five day Plus subscription, you should contact Sony. I did today and they said I will receive a message between three to five days."
They added: “They looked at my subscription date and said I should receive it 100%. I wonder how many more people didn't get it like me.”
According to PlayStation's website, the company is still 'working to provide' five extra days of PlayStation Plus to the members affected by the recent PlayStation Network outage.
So, again, no action is needed, but a quick follow-up might give you peace of mind that you haven't been forgotten.

The website also stated: "We’ll provide another update once the extensions and free access have been granted."
Meanwhile, make sure you claim the PS Plus games for March 2025, including Sonic Colors: Ultimate, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, and one of 2024's biggest hits, Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
