It's the start of a new year, and with it, it's time to get psyched for more Grand Theft Auto rumors...again.
2025 is a stacked one for video games, with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Elden Ring Nightreign being among just some of its biggest releases. Still, we imagine all of these are steering well clear of a certain automotive adventure that's set to wipe the floor with the competition.
It's been 12 years since GTA V was released, and with it going on to become the most profitable entertainment product of all time, it's no surprise that there are high hopes its long-awaited sequel could top it. After all, the world of video games has come a long way since 2013.

Rockstar Games seems to know what it's doing with GTA 6, having released just one trailer in December 2023 and it breaking records.
Despite a massive September 2022 leak revealing a ton of details like protagonist Lucia and a return to Vice City, Rockstar hasn't let it get in the way of GTA 6 setting itself up as the biggest game of all time.
Now, it seems the call could be coming from within the house as the latest GTA 6 leak might've come from Rockstar itself.

As reported by Eurogamer, a Reddit post giving us a closer look at GTA 6 has gone viral.
Seemingly taken a picture within the Rockstar offices, it's supposedly the desktop of an employee, featuring gameplay of Lucia. Anyone who's played a GTA game will recognize the third-person style, but apart from seeing Lucia from behind, it's not exactly giving much away.
You at least get a look at the game's lighting style and what looks like a storage depot, but apart from that, it's hardly anything to write home about.

Added to this, the original poster claims this image comes from 2021, meaning things will likely look completely different now. The first trailer was purely cinematic, and as the 2022 leaks were said to be outdated, everyone is pining for a proper look at GTA 6's gameplay.

Although leaks are one thing, we're still no closer to getting a second trailer. As the clock ticks down to the game's mythical release date, it's increasingly frustrating that it feels like we know so much and so little about GTA 6. Publisher Take-Two Interactive has repeatedly locked in a 'fall 2025' GTA 6 release date, meaning as long as those rumored delays don't kick in, we'll all be playing before Christmas and it'll be the biggest thing since sliced bread this time next year. Tune in next time for another vague GTA leak.
