Sometimes, children have to learn the hard lesson of hearing 'no.' But some kids react harder than others.
Take one girl who accused her dad of 'ruining her life' when he refused to buy her an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Apple's iPhone 15 Pro series is basically the only range of smartphones that can play big-title console games like Resident Evil 4 and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. They can deliver extremely high frame rates, which is more than the 11-year-old's original iPhone 8 can handle.

Feeling pretty low after the accusation, the father turned to Reddit to share his side of the argument. On the r/AITA forum, the dad asked other social media users whether he was in the wrong.
He shared that his gamer daughter asked for a new phone to which he considered the iPhone 13 a good option as he claimed it was only '600 dollars'. He added that it has a 'good camera/battery life and it looks the same as every other iPhone.'
'But she specifically wanted the iphone 15 pro max because apparently it plays console level games and has a 120hz display,' he posted.

'I did already tell her she would be getting an iphone 13 but she's adamant on the iphone 15 pro max which costs double the cost.
Honestly I think it's a waste of money and said no. My daughter then got mad at me and said I'm ruining her life and that her best friend has a 15 pro max.'
Apple has made it clear that the games on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max aren't 'watered-down versions' or streamed from the internet - they're legit console-level games.

Some Reddit users concur that the dad isn't the one in the wrong.
'Shoot, if you haven’t heard “you’re ruining my life!” more than once by the time your kid is 11, you aren’t doing your job,' one user commented.
Others argued against the father even letting his daughter on social media, with another responding: 'YTA she’s way too young for one of the most expensive phones there is … you’re just storing up trouble for later years.'

Giving in to the guilt, the father also said that he and his wife are considering giving their daughter the high-end smartphone as a gift.
