On Friday just gone (20 September), the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, along with new versions of the Apple Watch and AirPods and fresh colours for the Airpods Max, reached the shelves of Apple Stores around the world.
Since the iPhone 16 series was first teased back in June at the annual WWDC event, die-hard Apple fans have been eager to get their hands on the latest models.
The tech giant boasted the advanced features of the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. For one, these are to be the company's first mainstream phones to include Apple Intelligence, an AI feature which promises to change the way we use our phones.

The premium price of the iPhone 16 Pro Max also provides users with an impressively extended battery life. Well, the "best battery life on iPhone ever" to quote Apple itself.
But that's not to forget the iPhone 16 Pro which shares the same camera quality as its more expensive sibling, featuring an Ultra Wide lens and a whopping 48 Megapixels.
Now that people have had the weekend to play around with the latest gadgets, fans have been sharing their results and experiences on social media. But, not all is good news.

One user of Threads, an app from Instagram, shared a side-by-side photo taken with the iPhone 16 Pro and the much older iPhone 5c.
User iammarcmontenegro captioned on the post: "I made a camera comparison between the new iPhone 16 Pro and the 11-year-old iPhone 5c, and the result will blow your mind. No edits. No filter. This is insane! apple".
Many viewers noticed that the image quality looked pretty similar between the two phones despite the decade-long age gap and the jump from the iPhone 5c's 8 MP camera to the latest 48 MP.

The user sarcastically replied to their own post, writing: "iPhone 5C can still keep up with the newer phones. Good job Apple."
Another user showed an unedited photo from an iPhone 8+ with a very similar camera quality again.
"My mind blowed," someone else chimed in.

"there is a difference tho," one pointed out to which the original poster agreed but said it was "not huge".
Whether the camera improvements are more subtle over the recent years, or Apple will put more focus on the extra photography features is something time will tell.
