It has been revealed that the new iPhone will not come with MagSafe.
In a series of Apple announcements made today, a new iPhone model was unveiled.
The iPhone 16e is being touted as a device that was ‘built for Apple Intelligence’.

However, there is one key feature that is missing from the smartphone.
The new model won’t come with MagSafe, something that recent iPhones have had.
MagSafe is a magnetic technology from Apple that was built into the internal engineering of the iPhone 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 models.

It was originally created as a safety feature for MacBook charging cords and is now a way for users to implement faster wireless charging.
Apple fans don’t seem too happy about the decision, with many taking to social media to share their reactions.
On X, formerly Twitter, one user wrote: “Another L.”
Another said: “But it does have wireless charging. This makes no sense.”

A third person criticized the move by commenting: “They saved about 10 cents worth of magnets.”
A fourth wrote: “This is a most interesting decision. Honestly I am sure they have a reason, but it seems odd to limit it to QI charging only.”
And a fifth user added: “Too expensive, I was eager but I don't buy anymore. This is not innovative.”

Fans of the tech giant were also shocked to find out that, while Apple is welcoming the new phone model to its line, there are others that are being taken away.
That’s true for three devices that you will no longer be able to purchase at the Apple Store.
The phone models that are being discontinued are the iPhone SE 3, the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus.
Considering the fact that the iPhone 14 was released less than three years ago, in September 2022, fans were shocked to see that it’s getting the chop.

Many users took to social media to share their thoughts on the news.
On X, one surprised user wrote: “Wow the 14s already?!!?”
Another said: “SE was such a bad phone, I had to change it within a year.”
And a third person commented: “The 14s are a bit soon to discontinue.”
However, not everyone was so critical of the announcement.
In fact, some iPhone users welcomed the change, with one person writing: “About time it went away!”
And another made a good point, adding: “Makes sense. Apple Intelligence is the focus right now. 15 and 15 Plus will probably be dropped later this year.”
