Apple has officially announced WWDC 2025 and fans are gearing up for some big announcements.
The 'entirely online' event will kick off on June 9 and run through June 13. Following the same format as previous years, the tech giant has also added a special in-person meeting on the first day at Apple Park in California.
In a press release, Apple described WWDC25 as a showcase for 'the latest advancements in Apple software' that's 'available for free to all developers.'

The statement read: "As part of Apple’s ongoing commitment to supporting developers, the conference will provide them with unique access to Apple experts, as well as insight into new tools, frameworks, and features."
“We’re excited to mark another incredible year of WWDC with our global developer community," said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. "We can’t wait to share the latest tools and technologies that will empower developers and help them continue to innovate.”

All eyes are on iOS 19 for the upcoming event which, according to rumours, will be 'one of the most dramatic software overhauls' in Apple’s history.

The update teases a complete refresh of design that includes icons, menus, apps and more.
It will also reportedly simplify the user experience in terms of navigating and controlling their device. Bloomberg called the update 'the biggest revamp since iOS 7.
That also means big changes are likely coming to iPadOS 19, as Apple tends to roll out similar design updates across both iPhones and iPads.
macOS 16 is also set to get a major design update this year following Apple's efforts to create a more consistent look across all its devices - and even some changes are due for AirPods.

Fans are also hoping for more news on Apple Intelligence at the upcoming event - the built-in suite of AI tools debuted at last year's developer event.
While it’s already rolling out in stages, the most anticipated improvements, like a smarter, more personalised version of Siri, have hit some delays.

Apple originally aimed for an update next month, but some reports claim a full Siri revamp might not land until 2026.
