People are still obsessed with a particular sci-fi series that has been hailed as “one of the best shows to ever exist” two decades after its release.
Last month, sci-fi fans rejoiced when a beloved show returned to US Netflix, and it is now set to make its comeback on UK Netflix in August.
The iconic drama first hit our screens in 2004, which was a big year for television.

Veronica Mars made its debut that year, as well as the Battlestar Galactica series and Stargate: Atlantis.
But there’s one show that premiered that year which still has viewers mind-boggled 20 years after it was first released.
Of course, I’m talking about Lost.

It was a captivating series inspired by the Tom Hanks film Cast Away and reality TV show Survivor.
Running for six years, the show followed passengers who had survived a plane crash and were stuck on a seemingly deserted island.
It starred Matthew Fox as troubled surgeon Jack Shephard and Canada’s Evangeline Lilly, who portrayed fugitive Kate Austen.

After their flight deviated from its course of Sydney to Los Angeles, the plane crash landed on a mysterious island in the Pacific Ocean.
During Lost’s tenure, its characters faced ravenous polar bears, smoke monsters and the mysterious ‘Others’ who lived on the island.
Lost, which concluded in early 2010, consists of 121 episodes so it’s perfect for a Netflix binge after it landed on the streaming service in July.

It will also be available to watch on UK Netflix from tomorrow.

Posting their reactions on X, formerly Twitter, one user wrote: “Still one of the best shows to ever exist.”
A second person said: “After you binge the best show of all time, you'll finally get the ending if you watched it on TV.”
