If you love horror movies, there are plenty of streaming services out there that will satisfy your bloodlust.
Shudder is a whole platform dedicated to the red stuff, but if you don't want to shell out on another monthly fee, chances are Netflix has some frightening favorites you might be overlooking.
The Halloween season is upon us, and while cinemas as stuffed with scarefests like Terrifier 3, The Substance, and Smile 2, Netflix has old haunts and new slashers to enjoy.

As the biggest streaming (or should that be screaming?) service in the world, Netflix has a vault that continues to grow.
Unfortunately, there are many of you who are sleeping on Netflix's secret horror menu.
Instead of scrolling through the Top 10s or lost corners of Netflix, simply type the code 8711 in the search bar and everything related to horror will be right in front of your eyes.

Boasting some impressive titles, there's sure to be something for everyone. Given the popularity of Smile 2, why not catch up with the 2022 original before heading to see the sequel?
The same can be said for Beetlejuice, as Tim Burton's 1988 classic is ready and waiting ahead of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
Those who enjoyed 2019's Platform can check out the 2024 sequel, Shaun of the Dead tickles your funny bone, and the Evan Peters-led Dahmer â Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story feeds that hunger for biographical crime dramas. Sticking with Ryan Murphy, his latest season of Monsters is grabbing headlines as it dramatizes the story of Lyle and Erik Menendez.
There's a Jordan Peele double bill with Get Out and Nope, the divisive end of Michael Myers' story in Halloween Ends, and make sure you watch the underrated Hannibal. If enough people watch Hannibal, maybe we could finally get a season 4.

If you consider yourself something of a horror hound, we're sure you'll have delved into the twisted mind of Mike Flanagan, who's known for giving us some of Netflix's best exports. From The Haunting of Hill House to Midnight Mass and The Fall of the House of Usher, Flanagan is said to be a modern maestro of horror and is currently working on a brand-new Exorcist project.

Fans on Reddit were frustrated that we have to type a code in to get to Netflix's graveyard of horror icons.
Although they were happy for the 'game-changing' code, it highlights the flaws of Netflix.
One critic grumbled: "People complain about Max a lot but it lets you sort by genre and gives you everything alphabetically."
Another raged: "God, streaming really has gone to sh*t if you now need an entire other f**kin site just to be able to find the films you actually want."

Someone else cheered: "Shudder is rocking and rolling these days đ."
At least there are plenty of options for your next monster movie marathon, but now, the only problem is deciding what to watch.
