Kanye West was banned from Twitch after just minutes after going live.
The rapper, now known as Ye, has once again landed himself in hot water following his recent offensive and antisemitic posts on social media.
In February, Friends actor David Schwimmer called on X platform owner Elon Musk to ban West from the platform after a string of antisemitic remarks.

“This is so 2022," Schwimmer responded, pointing to a number of West's posts. "We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate-filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr Musk.”
Now, a few days ago, the record producer was banned from Twitch just seven minutes into his first stream.
Twitch is a popular live-streaming platform known mostly for among gamers and influencers, to stream content or showcase their life IRL.

According to The Daily Beast, West - dressed in a black jacket and Prada sunglasses - began ranting Jewish slurs and anti-LGBT+ comments while in a motel room. At one point, he threw a Nazi salute while shouting: “Heil Hitler.”
Furthermore, West used the stream to take a bash at his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, bizarrely adding that he 'should’ve had babies' with Paris Hilton instead.
He also claimed that multi-billionaire Musk had given him 'free passes' to post hate messages on the social media platform. Within minutes of his stream, West's Twitch page was replaced with a notice: “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.”
Reportedly, the rapper was under 220 followers before being banned.

Many fans were left confused when they came across the ban, but it all made sense once images of West doing Nazi salutes went viral. Kanye has yet to publicly comment on the Twitch ban. Given his history of unpredictable and often controversial reactions, many are wondering if he will break his silence soon.

This event follows another online outrage when West posted a video wearing a diamond-encrusted swastika necklace, standing next to infamous white supremacist Nick Fuentes.
The now-deleted video, initially posted on X, saw the pair inside some kind of large venue, with loud music blaring nearby.

“Yo,” West says to the camera. “You know I’m here with my white supremacist homeboy Nick. We’re back.” The two have a controversial history, including dining with Donald Trump back in 2022 at his Mar-a-Lago, which resulted in a backlash against the US president.
