A Youtuber only ate meat for 365 days and has said that the results ‘changed his life forever’.

What started out as a 30 day challenge turned into a year long feat.

YouTuber Kerry Mann, posted on his YouTube channel, HomeSteadHow, about his experience, which he referred to as the ‘greatest year of my life’.

In the video, he said: “The greatest day of my life was meeting my children, meeting my wife, but this was by far the greatest year of my life where I am now actually present for my children and for my wife.”

For 12 months, the dad-of-four ate nothing but meat, fish and other animal products including cheese and eggs.

But he was able to improvise and even drank what he called a ‘carnivore coffee’ which was a mixture of beef tallow and butter.

During his journey, Kerry noted how he was ‘growing muscle faster than I ever have, my weight is just dropping off consistently’.

By the end of the year, Kerry had lost a whopping 100 lbs.

Now, he encourages other people to take on a carnivore lifestyle, claiming that it is a ‘proper human diet’.

In July 2024, Kerry took to Instagram to share that he had reached day 485 of his unusual diet.

In the caption, he wrote: “I’ve yet to get meat fatigue! Despite the fact I’ve reversed my lifelong irregular heart beat, reversed cardiomyopathy and reversed my congestive heart failure from a 44 EF to a normal 60 EF and my blood pressure (which was always high and required meds) is finally perfect at a regular 120/80… apparently I’m still a ticking time bomb who will collapse and die of a heart attack any second now! That’s what some tell me! I think I’ll roll the dice and continue eating proper human foods!”

Many of Kerry’s viewers were shocked by his transformation, with some of them taking to the YouTube comment section to share their reactions.

One user wrote: “You have done so much for so many people. And this is just the beginning. What a beautiful impact this carnivore community is making on the health of humanity.”

Another said: “People go into downward spirals and it’s so hard to get out. You’ve gotten out and inspired so many people and will inspire so many more. Congrats!”

However, not everyone agreed with the ethics behind the diet, with one user on Instagram writing: “Animal agriculture is the # 1 cause of species extinction, ocean dead zones, third world hunger and the accounts for the 7 leading causes of death in humans.”

I guess you can’t win ‘em all!
