A YouTuber has harvested the world's freshest air to sell to millionaires.
In an era of Prime and Liquid Death, it seems easier than ever to make a quick buck with some clever marketing and an influencer or two. Now, YouTuber Zac Alsop has shown how he tried to sell the 'world's freshest air' to some millionaires. You only have to look at when Fiji Water went viral at the Golden Globes to see how people are willing to splash the cash on something you can get for free - largely by putting it in some fancy packaging.
Alsop is seen heading to a specific set of coordinates in Finland which supposedly has the freshest air in the world. He intended to bottle it and sell it around the world.

Saying that he thinks it would be 'hilarious' to get someone to purchase air, Alsop set out on his quest to fool some rich people: "I think my best target for this is rich people, they love spending money on exclusive things."
According to the World Health Organisation, the specific research facility in Finland has the world's freshest air. The VisitFinland site says: "N67°58.400' E24°06.939': these are the coordinates that will take you to the exact point where the air is cleanest in the world.
"According to the data provided by WHO, the world’s cleanest air is measured at Pallas, Lapland.

“There, the Sammaltunturi measuring station records the lowest numbers of air borne pollutants in the world. Of all the Finnish cities, the cleanest air can be found in Oulu."
With some arduous cross-country skiing to the exact location, Alsop and his guide used a plastic bag, a drone, and an Action Man doll to try and scoop up some of that fresh air. In the end, they used a scuba diving kit to capture a tank of air and left Alsop to head back to the United Kingdom.
The next part was coming up with a name for his brand of luxury air, which he imaginatively named air (spelled Hëir). His artist friend gave the tank a revamp before Alsop listed his exclusive can of the world's freshest air on an E-commerce website.

Listing his canister for a jaw-dropping £1,000 ($12,550), Alsop also headed to the Cotswolds and tried to physically sell it alongside a certificate of authenticity and miniature vials of the stuff.
Passers-by were confused at how and why he was selling air, and although he managed to grab their attention, he couldn't get them to part with their cash.
After giving out some free samples, Also eventually made a mere £2 ($2.50) by selling to an Australian man. After heading all the way to Finland in a quest to find the world's freshest air, he concluded: "So after thousands of pounds spent to catch the world's freshest air, only to make me £2 in sales, the only real silver lining is that I'm left with some stories for my grandkids. While we're sure someone out there would pay the big bucks for the world's freshest air, maybe they aren't ready just yet.
