Another day, another MrBeast scandal...
Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson might own the most-subscribed channel on YouTube, but just because you have all that money, it doesn't mean you should go around burning it. MrBeast is one of only two YouTube channels to cross the 200 million subscribers mark (with the other being T-Series), and since 2012, he's been slowly building his platform with his wild stunts and viral videos.
Although MrBeast's expected net worth is around $700 million, he's come under fire for a new video where he wrecks a blue Lamborghini for a 14-second video. In the YouTube Short, MrBeast holds an experiment to see how many strips of duct tape will stop a Lambo.
As the vehicle races through the strips with ease, the car starts to show damage at 10,000 strips. By the time Donaldson reaches 15,000 pieces of duct tape, the bonnet is missing and it careens out of control. Still, he kept pushing.

It just about makes it through 25,000 strips, but when MrBeast goes one further, the luxury car is stopped in its tracks at 25,001 pieces of duct tape.
There's no shot of what the Lamborghini looks like afterward, but we imagine it's not a pretty sight.
Responding to the video, people were less than impressed by Donaldson totaling a sports car that most can only dream of owning, simply for views.
One critic grumbled: "Destroying a Lamborghini just for a YouTube shorts is actually crazy."

Another lamented: "That lambo is a dream of billion of people 😢."
Others saw the funnier side of it as one wrote: "Mr Beast Used My Whole Life Savings in a 15 Sec Short 😂."
There could be more to the story, and as Donaldson has previously posted a listing for an artificial intelligence artist, some think it's all a trick of the eye. Pointing to some potential flaws in the video, someone on X concluded: "Bro is not touching the ground... This video is fake."
This is the latest incident involving content creators and cars, and it wasn't long ago that Jack Doherty was lambasted for crashing his McLaren and injuring his cameraman. It also isn't MrBeast's first Lamborghini stunt, and we've previously seen a protect the car and keep it-style video where he tried to drive a train into a Lamborghini. The comments are right, though, the old MrBeast would've at least given someone the chance to win a Lamborghini.

We'd like to think that his latest video is AI and that MrBeast didn't actually wreck a Lambo, because no matter how much money you've got in the bank, it's a crime against cars to wreck such a beauty for the sake of a video.
