Being buried alive is something that very few people across the world will ever experience, but staying prepared with this handy yet unnerving video could save you in the unlikely scenario.
Simulation videos often help you prepare for the world or even give a glimpse into situations where you'd hope to never find yourself, like one showing you what it would be like to ride the infamous 'Euthanasia Coaster' or another that displays the potential realities of nuclear war.
You never know what useful information sourced from these simulations might lodge itself in the back of your brain though, returning in a moment of panic when you find yourself actually stuck in a life or death scenario.

That's where this video showing you exactly what to do if you ever found yourself being buried alive might come in handy, as what is likely to be one of the worst ways to die might be easier to escape than you might think.

Shared and created by Zack D. Films on X (formerly Twitter), the video titled 'How To Survive Being Buried Alive' gives viewers a step by step process that you can use to escape a coffin that's found itself six feet under.
The first thing you'll want to do is pull your top over your mouth to ensure that any dust is filtered, as you're about to get a face full of dirt that wouldn't be great to deal with in a scenario like this.
Next up is maybe the hardest part, as you'll have to find some way to break through the top of whatever you're buried within. This is going to hurt no matter what, and could be near impossible depending on what material the structure is made with, but you can't ask for much better in a situation like this I guess!
Once that has broken though dirt will obviously begin to pour into where you are, and you'll want to make sure to move it towards your feet and away from your head and the top of the coffin.

Quickly try and sit up into the space created by the hole, and continue pushing the dirt into the coffin until you can stand up.
Then, it's just a 'simple' case of pushing the dirt above you until you break though the ground and into the air, and hopefully you'll then be able to climb out to your safety.
It's no doubt going to be an incredibly stressful and likely painful endeavor, but all of that is water under the bridge if you manage to survive.

Many in the replies have expressed their doubts as to whether this will actually work, with one user remarking that you need to "make sure you have Winter Soldier's arm to punch through [the] box," whereas another details that "dirt is 100lbs/cubic foot. That ain't gonna happen."
Others point out the major issue of not knowing which way you're actually buried, as you could very well be lying 'upside down' and find yourself pushing further into the dirt. Now that's a thought you won't want lying around as you're trying to get to sleep at night.
