While some might know the name Claire Boucher, most will know her under her stage name of Grimes. Aside from releasing hit singles like "Genesis" and "Oblivion", she's also lent her vocals to a role in Cyberpunk 2077, appeared as a judge of the music game show Alter Ego, and was also in a complicated public relationship with Elon Musk from 2018 until...well, we don't actually know.
Despite Grimes referring to the tech mogul as the "love of my life" in March 2022 and the pair welcoming Techno Mechanicus in June of that year, things seem to have slowly soured between the pair. Boucher went on to sue Musk over paternal rights, and while the documents remain sealed, the pair finally reached a custody agreement as late as November 2024.

Grimes has recently been pulled back into the sphere of the world's richest man and was forced to address accusations he performed a 'Nazi salute' at President Trump's inauguration celebrations. She then publicly called out her ex for parading their son, X Æ A-12 (now just X), around the Oval Office.
Her pleas for Musk to stop dragging their kids into things have gone unheard, and now, Boucher has shared a series of posts asking for the billionaire's help.
Grimes had previously made a thinly veiled post about 'power hungry warlords', but in her latest exchange, her frustration is very much aimed directly at Musk.
As Musk boasted about the capabilities of his 'anti-woke' Grok chatbot, Grimes replied: "Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention.

"If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon."
She doesn't reveal which of their three children she was referring to or what this 'medical crisis' is, but the pair are thought to co-parent X, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, and Techno Mechanicus.
Some X users went on to suggest visibility was being reduced on Grimes' posts, with it being listed as 'unavailable' under Musk’s original. When others pointed out that her plea might've been censored, the artist simply replied, "lol."

In a second rant, Grimes continued: "I’m not giving any details but he won’t respond to texts call or emails and has skipped every meeting and our child will suffer life long impairment if he doesn’t respond asap, so I need him to f**king respond, and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we’re at."
The latest update sees Grimes saying she's deleted them herself, concluding: "I am deleting them now because if they're being shadow banned and not eliciting a response then all it is is a media circus at the expense of the kids."
Musk has publicly responded to Boucher, and instead, was seen waving a chainsaw in the air at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference in D.C. This is seemingly a visual metaphor for the cuts he's hoping to make to government spending as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.
