Netflix viewers all saying the same thing after Mike Tyson loses historic fight to Jake Paul

Netflix viewers all saying the same thing after Mike Tyson loses historic fight to Jake Paul

Everybody is saying the same thing after watching

Jake Paul has defeated Mike Tyson via unanimous decision after the pair faced off in one of the most highly anticipated sporting events of the year.

Tyson started the fight strong, but as time went on, Paul, who is 31-years his junior, quickly began to come out on top.

All three judges scored the fight for Paul, 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73.

The 27-year-old landed 78 punches from 278 thrown (28 percent), while Tyson landed just 18 punches from 97 thrown, according to Netflix.

The fight took place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and was live streamed around the world on Netflix for those tuning in from home.

Millions watched the boxing match live, taking to social media to share their thoughts on the fight as it went down.

Viewers all seemed to agree on the same thing, and commentators also seemed to agree.

Taking to the ring at 58 years of age after ‘retiring’ in 2005, fans have been praising the fact that he could last eight rounds in the ring with a young boxer.

"The fact that Tyson was able to stay in it for 8 rounds at 58, against a 27 year old is an achievement in of itself,” one viewer wrote on X.

Another sang the boxers praises, saying: "Honestly Mike Tyson won. let’s see if Jake Paul can beat a 27 year old in 31 years."

“For a 58 Y/O man Mike Tyson did very well all things considered,” shared a third.

In the run up, Tyson also faced some serious health problems, which he spoke about in their Netflix documentary.

The boxer revealed that he was ‘throwing up blood’ and feared he was 'going to die’.

‘They found I had a big ulcer, two-and-a-half inches, and it was bleeding. All my friends were calling me like I was dying.”

Alongside this, prior to the pair sparing off, there were some controversial rule changes laid down by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Both participants had to wear 14-ounce gloves instead of the standard 10-ounce gloves worn in a heavyweight fight - It's said that the heavier the glove is, the more padding and shock absorption they have.

The match was also eight rounds instead of the usual 12, and they were also reduced to just two minutes over the typical three-minute rounds you'd expect in a professional fight.

There will be three judges standing ringside and scoring in case there isn't a knockout, while headguards are also banned.
