One hotel worker has lifted the lid on things that customers do, which she says they should never do when booking a stay.
The controversial video uploaded to TikTok by MamaFromArkansas details all the things you should never do in a hotel, according to someone who works at the front desk.
The TikToker didn’t hold back when sharing her thoughts, the first one being to never show up a day late for your reservation.

She said: “It has gone into no show and we no longer have that reservation because you did not show up for the reservation on the date that you said you were going to show up.”
Another no-go she says is booking through third parties, adding: “What's gonna happen is your reservation’s gonna get lost. You need a refund, you need to cancel, something's gonna happen and we cannot touch that reservation because you booked third party.”

The TikToker went on to state that customers shouldn’t get mad at an employee for their own mistake when booking.
“You booked the wrong dates for the reservation,” she said. “It's not our fault.”
For number five on the list, MamaFromArkansas warned that you shouldn’t take your kids to an event and then 'let them run a muck in the hotel and tear things up while you're at the bar getting drunk'.
She also doesn’t like it when people leave bad reviews without flagging issues to the hotel first because 'you did not give us an opportunity to fix your issues, so why would you write a bad review?'

She went on to add: “Do not book a reservation at a hotel before you have looked and see what amenities that hotel has to offer.
“If you want free breakfast, maybe make sure that hotel offers free breakfast.”
Last but not least, the TikToker says that you shouldn’t be 'the person that thinks that policies do not apply to you'.

She added: “We have a 24 hour cancellation policy, which means if you call the day of your reservation, you're gonna get charged the late cancellation fee.”
Her video has caused quite a stir on social media, with people taking to the comment section to share their thoughts.
One user wrote: “Is she serious? I always go through Expedia. never ever had a problem. EVER!”
Another said: “Well if I’m arriving at 6am, I book the hotel the night before…I’m gonna be real mad if you give my pre-paid room away.”

A third person asked: “Why can’t I show up a day late for my reservation if I pay upfront and face delays, like a flight or drive across the country?”
The TikToker replied, saying: “It’s in the polices and fine print.”
