The White House has issued an awkward response when its team were asked about Elon Musk’s outfit choices amid Trump’s feud with Zelensky.
When Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited President Donald Trump last Friday (February 28), he faced criticism for the way he was dressed.
Zelensky appeared at the White House wearing military attire in solidarity with Ukrainians currently fighting against Russian forces.

Right-wing reporter, Brian Glenn, challenged Zelensky over his outfit, saying: “Why don’t you wear a suit? You’re at the highest level in this country’s office and you refuse to wear a suit. Do you own a suit?”
He went on to claim: “A lot of Americans have problems with you not respecting the dignity of this office.”
Zelensky was quick to reply, arguing that he would wear a suit once the war in Ukraine was over.

The Ukrainian president added: “Maybe something like yours, maybe something better, maybe something cheaper.”
Tense talks during the visit between Zelensky and Trump resulted in the Ukrainian leader being escorted off the premises.
Yesterday (March 5), White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about Musk’s outfit choices after the outburst over Zelensky’s attire.
The tech billionaire has been known to appear in the Oval Office wearing a t-shirt and a MAGA baseball cap.

Peter Doocy, who is a senior correspondent for Fox News, said: “You know that some officials here were miffed that Zelensky showed up last week without a suit for his meeting in the Oval Office. But Elon Musk never wears a suit.”
Doocy went on to say: “So what is the dress code?”
Leavitt replied: “Well, Elon Musk wore a suit last night. I’m sure you saw it.”

Doocy followed up by asking if the Tesla boss had been ‘spooked’ after Zelensky had been removed from the White House.
Leavitt responded: “No, I don’t think so. I’m just pointing out that he did wear a suit last night and I think the president liked that very much and he looked great.”
This is after Musk appeared in the viewing gallery to watch Trump address to Congress.
During his speech, the president pointed Musk out and thanked him.

Trump said: “I have created the brand-new Department of Government Efficiency: DOGE. Perhaps you’ve heard of it.
“Which is headed by Elon Musk, who is in the gallery tonight. He’s working very hard. He didn’t need this. We appreciate it.”
Gesturing to the Democratic side of the chamber, Trump added: “Everybody here, even this side, appreciates it, I believe. They just don’t want to admit that.”
In response, Musk gave Trump a salute with his right hand from the viewing gallery.
The billionaire had switched up his usual attire for the occasion, ditching his infamous t-shirt and ‘dark MAGA’ cap in place of a button-up shirt and tie.
