The state of American politics is a major cause of concern for many, and with President Donald Trump accused of triggering a global trade war, Elon Musk is gutting whole organizations with the Department of Government Efficiency, and there are also worries that we're on the cusp of World War III.
This is inspiring musicians to speak out, and you might remember when Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong used his Coachella performance to take a swipe at the POTUS and Elon Musk when he changed the lyrics of "American Idiot" to say, "I'm not part of the MAGA agenda."
The White Stripes' Jack White similarly changed the lyrics of "Corporation" to say, "I was thinking about becoming an oligarch, who’s with me?"

Rock legend Neil Young is known for his political protest songs back to the 1960s, and keen to continue the tradition, he's now taken aim at President Donald Trump and Elon Musk in an acid-tongued song.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Young has added a new song to his catalog during a Los Angeles benefit concert. Titled "Let's Roll Again", Young's song takes shots at Musk and his role in Tesla as he rallies American automakers: “Come on Ford, come on GM. Come on Chrysler, let’s roll again."
He asks for them to return to responsible manufacturing and points out how China is leading the way in green vehicle production.

After a quick harmonica break, Young adds: "If you’re a fascist, get a Tesla, If you’re a democrat, taste your freedom."
Considering Musk just had to deal with an uncomfortable earnings call that outlined a shocking 70% dip in Tesla profits, we don't think he'll be too impressed by Young's latest ditty. Mike Myers recently spoke out against Trump and famously wore a "Canada is not for sale" t-shirt on Saturday Night Live.
With Young owning a dual Canadian-American citizenship, he's previously described the President as "a disgrace to my country." Young was recently spotted holding a "Hands off Canada" sign at a California protest, while he also performed at Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's "Fighting Oligarchy" rally.
Writing on his website, Young raged: "When I go to play music in Europe, if I talk about Donald J. Trump, I may be one of those returning to America who is barred or put in jail to sleep on a cement floor with an aluminium blanket.

"That’s right folks, if you say anything bad about Trump or his administration, you may be barred from re-entering USA."
Young previously shared concerns that he'd be barred from reentering the USA when returning from his European tour, including a Glastonbury performance.
Young's wife and collaborative partner is Kill Bill's Daryl Hannah, who said the first Trump administration "tried every trick in the book" to try and stop him from getting his citizenship.
There's no love lost between Young and Trump, and after the veteran rocker once tried to sue the latter for using "Rockin’ in the Free World" on his campaign trail, we don't imagine there are many Neil Young CDs in the Oval Office.
