The USA continues its wild streak in 2025, and Elon Musk has found himself again back in the news.
It's fair to say that his latest press conference as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency was quite the media circus.
In the midst of trying to shave $2 trillion from government spending, Musk was pulled into arguments about condom donations while he admitted 'we all make mistakes'.

Still, while Musk tried to bat off complaints that he's undertaking a 'hostile takeover' of the US government, some people zoned out as someone else stole the limelight.
Musk is known for bringing his four-year-old X Æ A-Xii along for the ride, with the father of 12 having a seeming soft spot for 'Lil X'.
Snatching the hearts of many as he caused chaos during the press conference, President Donald Trump largely watched from the sidelines as Elon laid out his plans for the future and X sat on his shoulders.

As well as jokes that President Trump was 'seething' as Lil X stole the show while picking boogers from his nose, the tech tot has gone viral for one moment where it looks like he told the POTUS to 'shut your mouth'.
Did things really turn so sour after the President introduced Lil X at the top of his remarks and said, "This is X, and he's a great guy - high IQ"?
The internet scrambled to figure out what X was saying, with the general consensus being, "I want you to shut your mouth up." Others think it was more extreme, with some suggesting he told the Commander in Chief to "shut your f**king mouth up."
Another incident suggests that Lil X leaned forward and said: "You're not the President and you need to go away."

While there were plenty online applauding these exchanges and others shocked by it, the reality might not be as sensationalist as all of that.
Posting on X, someone said: "I have watched the video several times now... and I think he's actually talking to the reporters who are in the room, and not @realDonaldTrump."

Another added: "He's talking to someone out of the frame, not Trump."
Whatever was said and to who, there were plenty of jokes about the whole thing. Someone else concluded: "Little X seems to be the only person who can tell the truth in that entire bunch."
Elsewhere, X was seen mimicking his father's gestures and then seemed to wipe his snot on the Resolute Desk - an iconic piece of White House furniture that's been used by nearly every President since Queen Victoria gifted it to Rutherford Hayes in 1880.
While the internet seemed to be enamored by the hilarity of having Lil X living it large in the Oval Office, his own mother was less than impressed. Grimes shares a complicated relationship with her ex, and while the finer details of her custody agreement with Elon Musk have never been publicly revealed, it's thought she has X every other week.

When one of her followers alerted to her Lil X being paraded around the White House, she made it clear she didn't approve of the field trip.
