Yachts are expensive enough on their own, yet Jeff Bezos has purchased an additional 'mini yacht' for $75,000,000 to simply support his main venture that holds a value of over $500,000,000.
When you reach a net worth as high as Jeff Bezos then money starts to become more of an abstract concept, as the Amazon founder is currently worth over $240,000,000,000 and only continues to stuff his pockets.
Experiments have accentuated how much more $1 billion is than the 'lowly' figure of $1 million, so having as much cash as Bezos does can lead to some rather unnecessary purchases.

While some, like Bezos' ex-wife MacKenzie Scott, like to use their wealth to help the wider world with charitable donations, the Amazon founder instead prefers to build replacements for the International Space Station, invest in Tesla competitors, and build a fleet of super yachts.
That last point is especially pertinent, as it has recently been revealed what the purpose of Bezos' 'secondary' super yacht is, and it's simply ridiculous when you consider its size and cost.
Reports have shown that he already sinks around $50 million a year on the maintenance of his super yacht collection, and has invested under $600,000,000 between his two mega boats.

His pride and glory is named 'Koru', valued at around $500,000,000 and serving as the largest yacht in the world at 127 meters long, but it's always flanked by his other vessel 'Abeona' - a 76 meter support yacht that's 'only' worth $75,000,000.
First and foremost the idea of a 76 meter yacht being a supportive one is stunning considering the fact it's already larger than most out there, even if it does pale in comparison to Koru, but it's main feature and purpose blows everything out of the water.
Bezos primarily uses Abeona, which can hold up to 45 support staff and crew, as a landing pad for his helicopter, making it much easier to get to and from the main super yacht without having to dock back on land.

It features a rear-deck helipad that is large enough to fit an ACH135 helicopter - which is $5,700,000 in its own right - allowing Bezos and his fiancé Lauren Sánchez to come and go as they please.
It really goes to show that the richest people in the world really live on another planet, as only a select few would be able to afford Abeona in the first place, let alone have it simply be a means to get to and from your bigger, more expensive other yacht with greater ease.
As they always say, money can't buy happiness but it certainly can make life a whole lot more convenient.
