Biohacker millionaire Bryan Johnson has made headlines with his pursuits to combat anti-ageing.
The 46-year-old American entrepreneur, whose YouTube bio describes him as the "world's most measured human", has embarked on Project Blueprint to slow down the aging process.
Through it, he says he's "achieved metabolic health equal to the top 1.5% of 18 year olds, inflammation 66% lower than the average 10 year old, and reduced his speed of aging by the equivalent of 31 years".
Part of his daily routine includes taking over 100 pills, which has got people talking.

But Johnson, who sold his company Braintree Venmo to PayPal for $800m in 2013, has explained the reasoning behind this and also how it affects his body, notably his liver.
In a video on his YouTube account, which has just under a million subscribers, he said: "Many people learn that I take over 100 pills a day and they make some pretty interesting observations.
"I must be a vampire, an elf, life is not worth living. I must be miserable, and it's not intuitive for them, why one would want to take 100 pills a day.
He went on to say: "A lot of people say all these supplements must wreck my liver.

"In looking at my liver data I have perfect enzyme markers. If looking at my liver through an MRI, I have perfect liver fat and stiffness and iron levels. And so everything in a part of Blueprint is measured and quantified".
According to the British Liver Trust, the liver is the largest solid organ in the body, and one of its many functions is "neutralizing and destroying all drugs and toxins".
Johnson's YouTube page explains that Project Blueprint is "an endeavor to achieve humanity and earth scale cooperation starting within Self".

People commenting on his YouTube video about the pills were supportive.
One person wrote: "The hundred pills don't do half the damage that liquor and soda do to your body".
Someone else pointed out: "Supplements are not like medications - many effective supplements are water soluble and are easily processed and p****d out".
Supplements aside, Johnson follows a strict regime that includes working out for around an hour each day and eating his final meal at 11am before going to sleep at half eight in the evening.

It's a strict regime, tailored to his specific needs. But before anyone starts taking any mad number of supplements, it's worth speaking to a qualified medical professional.
