Top YouTuber Fousey says 'I'm safe' after team ordered a wellness check when he went 'missing'

Top YouTuber Fousey says 'I'm safe' after team ordered a wellness check when he went 'missing'

Streamer Fousey is taking a 80-day hiatus

Warning: This article contains discussion of suicide which some readers may find distressing.

Kick streamer and OG YouTuber Fousey, also known as Yousef Saleh Erakat, is reportedly ‘safe’ after initially failing to check in during a wellness check.

The popular creator was reported missing this week, after failing to arrive for a scheduled flight to Atlanta. Fousey was last heard of on Wednesday this week, and according to his management team, missed his flight the following Thursday morning.

His team then took to X (formerly Twitter) on October 3rd, to send out a ‘SOS’ and inquire if anyone had ‘seen or heard’ from the content creator.

In the X post, his team stated that they were worried, along with his family, likely stemming from Fousey’s past. In 2023, the streamer took a year-long hiatus from Kick streaming after dealing with mental health problems.

Once he had returned from his well-needed break, as reported by KickdailyNews, Fousey stated in a live-stream, 'I f**king attempted to kill myself. Like literally. I'm a f**king suicide attempt survivor and I f**king made it. The hardest thing that I had to go through the hell and misery that I have been in is I am over here depressed, I'm here literally trying to take my own life. Literally tried.'

With that in mind, it’s no wonder why his family, friends, and management team were extra concerned about the creator. As anyone would be.

The series of concerned posts continued through Fousey’s X page, where management kept friends and fans updated on the situation.

In an additional post, his management team stated that a wellness check had been carried out. However, when family went to check on Fousey’s residence, no one was home.

Within the X post, management also stated that suit cases were discovered to be missing, however a car was still in the creator’s garage. They also stated that $1,000 had been withdrawn from a San Diego ATM in the early morning.

This post was also backed up the ‘closest lead’ they had on Fousey’s whereabouts at that time. This included a provided screenshot of an online chat with a user asking for an Apply Pay payment in exchange for information on the creator's whereabouts.

Fortunately, as of typing, Fousey eventually texted back his management team to inform them he was safe, and that they’ll be informed where he is when he wants them to.

Shortly after this, Fousey did what streamers are known to do, and went live on his Kick channel to inform fans of the situation. In the livestream, streamer stated he’ll be gone for 80 days.

The livestream, was later uploaded to his YouTube channel with the title “Fousey’s Final Goodbyte.”

This was followed up by a video post on his X account, where the creator stated he was “healthy and okay” while dawning a bizarre black balaclava.

While fans haven’t been informed where the streamer will be for the next 3 months, hopefully he’ll continue to be safe and get the support he needs.
