Speaking to the Minnesota governor, Bateman said: “I’m so excited that every single car brand now has a fully electric car and I don’t want to throw undue shade towards Mr. Musk but his politics is… I got rid of my Tesla. I feel like I’m driving around [with] a Trump sticker.”
He added that he was glad about the variety of electric cars available now as it had enabled him to get rid of his Tesla.
His co-host, Will Arnett, chimed in with: “I call it the Crypto Truck.”

Bateman has made his views on Trump clear for years, even telling Biden in 2022 to use the emergency alert system to remind voters about the midterm elections.
At the time, he said that democracy itself was under threat from Republicans.
He said: “With the midterms on our doorstep… two thirds of the seats that are up for grabs and the midterms are trending to be won by admitted election deniers.
“And then that means that elections and consequently democracy as a form of government will most likely be done away with or could be seriously threatened.”

Musk has been very vocal about his support of Republican candidate Trump in the last few months.
The billionaire joined the former president onstage at one of his political rallies which took place at the same spot as Trump’s assassination attempt in July.
The tech mogul was seen jumping up and down with his firsts in the air before addressing the crowd.

Musk said: “America is the home of the brave and the true test of someone’s character is how they behave under fire.
“We had one president who couldn’t climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist-pumping after getting shot! Fight, fight, fight!”
He added: “I’m being repetitive for a reason. Honestly you want to be a pest. Fight, fight, fight! Vote, vote, vote!”
At the rally, Trump praised Musk for donating Starlink systems to victims impacted by Hurricane Helene before adding: “I didn’t know what the hell Starlink was.”
