Jake Paul 'nervous' as he reveals who he's endorsing for president

The YouTuber recorded the video from his home in Puerto Rico

Jake Paul shared that he was ‘nervous’ as he revealed who he is endorsing for president.

As the US presidential election draws to a close next week and millions of Americans take to the polls on November 5, the YouTuber has weighed in with his thoughts.

Posting a video to X, formerly Twitter, in which Jake explained that he was ‘scared to make’, he publicly endorsed Donald Trump.

The footage was captioned with: “Who I’m supporting for president and why you should too…”

In the 18 minute clip, Jake sat in front of the camera and explained his reasons for throwing his weight behind the Republican candidate.

Starting off, he said: “I’m nervous, scared to make this video because of what it means in terms of my career, my life, people coming after me, more accusations, more turmoil, more division potentially.”

Jake went on to say: “I’m not concerned with Donald Trump’s character flaws or what he’s done in the past. What I’m concerned with is how good of a president is he? Because that is his job and that is what’s going to affect the people of this nation.”

Recording from his home in Puerto Rico, the content creator revealed that he isn’t actually able to vote in the upcoming election and had ‘rescinded’ his right after moving to the US territory.

This is because Puerto Rico isn’t a state and isn’t given any voting representation for its residents.

Jake said: “Because I moved to Puerto Rico in my pursuit of becoming a world champion in my boxing career, I have rescinded my right to vote but that doesn’t mean I can’t present my 80 million large audience with proper facts, numbers, and data to encourage them to vote in the proper direction, to quite literally save America.”

Earlier this week, a comedian at one of Trump’s rallies sparked controversy during a speech he made onstage.

Tony Hinchcliffe was one of the speakers at Trump’s rally in New York on October 27 where he made a series of jokes.

He said: “There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you know this but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”

Jake addressed the joke that was made about the place where he now lives.

He said: “Tony, while I love most of your work, Puerto Rico is the most beautiful place on Earth and the people here are absolutely incredible.”
