We all love a good rant, but when it comes to New Jersey's Senator Cory Booker, that turned into a 25-hour speech that called the likes of President Donald Trump and 'First Buddy' Elon Musk to task.
Tackling the heightened political turmoil in the American government, a defiant Booker explained how he wanted to disrupt the "normal business of the United States Senate for as long as I am physically able".
Starting to speak at around 7:00 pm on Monday, Booker launched into a 25-hour tirade that took particular umbrage with Elon Musk.

Saying that "our nation is in crisis," Booker called out President Trump's new tariffs and declared: "In just 71 days, the president of the United States has inflicted so much harm on Americans’ safety, financial stability, the core foundations of our democracy.
"These are not normal times in America. And they should not be treated as such in the United States Senate."
Tearing into Musk, Booker referred to him as 'unelected' and 'unsenate', calling him the number one donator to the POTUS' campaign and questioning his new position as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.

After reminding us how the DOGE's 'wall of receipts' seems to keep changing its numbers, a charged Booker said: "[Musk] fires people from the FAA then begs them to come back, fires the people that protect us from nuclear accidents, 'Oh wait, come back'.
"Have we ever in the Senate or the House, called him in for one oversight hearing to account for what he's doing? To address the fears of a nation?"
Booker continued to theorize on why Musk seemingly has so much power right now, and saying we can call him a conspiracy theorist if we want, he mused: "What Elon Musk is doing to some of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle is threatening them."
Saying that going against Musk could lead to him 'dragging' senators on X and 'awaken a mob' against them, he made his feelings on the world's richest man clear.

For the curious among us, you might be wondering how Booker went to the bathroom.
Well, apparently, he didn't. Speaking to TMZ, a rep confirmed he didn't wear a diaper during his rousing speech, suggesting that he went the full 25 hours without peeing once.
Posting on X, CNN's Manu Raju says Booker told the press how he intentionally fasted and dehydrated himself for days in the run-up to his speech. Still, Booker later said that he occasionally took small sips of water "to stop my muscles from cramping."

As reported by The Guardian, this obviously isn't good for the body. Urologist says Dr Rena Malik explained: "I think [Booker] needs to see a urologist. He probably has some real bladder dysfunction. That’s not normal. A normal person can’t do that."
Dr Seth D Cohen then added how the average person pees seven to eight times a day, with healthy adults expelling between 0.8 to 2 liters. Warning of potential urinary tract infections (UTIs), Cohen said: "Eventually, the body will contract the bladder involuntarily to empty its contents. This is called incontinence."
Rounding off after 25 hours and 25 minutes (to be exact), Booker enters the history books with the longest Senate speech in history. We imagine the first thing he did was make a much-needed bathroom break and then go for a long-earned sleep.
