When you've got billions of dollars, the world is your oyster. While most of us would spend our time and considerable wealth sailing around the world on extravagant yachts or maybe even taking to the stars on fancy tourist trips, some like to spend their time fighting at tiny grocery stores.
Taking a leaf out of Jake Paul's book, one billionaire has tried to lace up his gloves and take on someone who called him out on social media. While it's not quite Paul vs Tyson, it's an equally as bizarre bout.
Xavier Niel is the founder of telecoms company Illiad, and after posting on X, users were shocked to see he actually showed up to a fight outside a Lidl supermarket. Niel was clearly vexed when a Call of Duty player shaded him online.

"JimmyBLLT" wrote: "Xavier Niel I hate you and I propose a 1v1 in front of the Lidl on rue Sainte in Marseille." Although most assumed the billionaire had better things to do with his time, Niel dutifully accepted the challenge and turned up on the day.
Niel took to socials to share a picture of himself outside the Marseille branch and posted the ominous caption: "I'm waiting."
JimmyBLLT had a chance of heart and quickly apologized, but it was too late for a fired-up Niel, who demanded his duel.

An angry Niel added: "Where are you? Come on! Do you want to meet in the car park?”
The CoD player says they were annoyed at their service from Illiad and how lag was causing them to lose at the popular first-person shooter.
Coming up with an excuse, JimmyBLLT claimed: "I would have liked to but 34.2 temperature + stomach ache + headache sorry I give up."

Lidl saw the funnier side of the altercation, chiming in with its own two cents and joking: "Please come and pick up the man who has been tweeting since this morning in front of the store on rue Sainte in Marseille."
Others in the comments are disappointed that JimmyBLLT chickened out. One said, "I would have gone there just for the photo 😂😂😂😂" while another joked, "Admit it, it was his build that made you change your mind!"
Someone else concluded: "Imagine the Free employees come across the video they say to themselves, 'Ah well sh*t, the boss we thought he was at the meeting.' No he does a 1v1 next to a Lidl with a little jerk."
The moral of the story is don't call out a tech billionaire on social media and not expect him to turn up. By the looks of it, Niel was more than ready for a fight.
