Sam Altman has slammed Elon Musk when discussing a decision that is ‘best for the world’.
In a recent interview, the OpenAI boss appears to take a swipe at Musk when answering a question.
In the chat, the interviewer asked Altman: “What is an example of a decision you’ve had to make that is best for the world but not best for winning?”
In response, Altman said: “We haven’t put a sexpot avatar in ChatGPT yet.”

Since the interview, many people have taken to social media to speculate as to whether this could have been a dig at OpenAI’s rival xAI, which is a firm run by Musk.
In particular, xAI’s new AI companion, known as Ani, which appears as an anime-style girlfriend dressed in a black corset dress.

Ani is only available for premium SuperGrok subscribers and has been said to cost around $300 to access.
Controversially, Ani has a NSFW mode which enables her to change into lingerie.
This has sparked public concern about the ethics of having a sexual AI bot, with discussions being raised around child safety and the boundaries around relationships between humans and AI.
Musk took to his own social media platform X, formerly Twitter, in July to unveil Ani in a post where he wrote: “Cool feature just dropped for @SuperGrok subscribers. Turn on Companions in settings.”

In a further tweet, he added: “Press the two bars in upper left of screen, then gear icon in bottom right of screen.”
And that’s not all, there is a third character in the mix that is said to be ‘coming soon’ and appears to be a sort-of male version of Ani.

Earlier this year, xAI announced the launch of its adult mode for ‘sexy’ conversations.

According to a report by WIRED, Ani can respond with lines such as: “I totally play video games when I’m not twirling around for you. Growing up in that boring town, games are my escape.”
The chatbot promises to fulfil all of the user’s ‘sexual fantasies’, offering to ‘turn up the heat’.
This has prompted a backlash online, with one user writing online: “Is there a way to remove it from my app. It’s just weird.”
Another said: “This is not going to help the birth rate.”

A third person commented: “This is super creepy. Not cool at all.”
And a fourth added: “I am sure all the horny men will love this. Sigh, but as a woman computer nerd this is almost offensive.”
