Fans of GTA 6 are seriously concerned after the game’s co-founder spoke out about it not being launched during a Trump presidency.
The most recent instalment of Grand Theft Auto came out back in September 2013 and gamers have since been patiently waiting for the sixth version for over a decade.
Fans rejoiced when it was announced that GTA 6 is scheduled to be released in the autumn of 2025 but it seems like gamers may end up having to wait a lot longer than 11 years to get their hands on it.

This is because Dan Houser, the co-founder of video game company Rockstar, has previously revealed that he was ‘thankful’ to not be bringing out the game while Donald Trump was in the Oval Office.
Speaking to GQ back in 2018, Houser said: “It’s really unclear what we would even do with it, let alone how upset people would get with whatever we did.
“Both intense liberal progression and intense conservatism are both very militant, and very angry. It is scary but it’s also strange, and yet both of them seem occasionally to veer towards the absurd. It’s hard to satirize for those reasons.

“Some of the stuff you see is straightforwardly beyond satire. It would be out of date within two minutes, everything is changing so fast.”
But now those words have caused panic amongst fans of the video game, who fear that Trump’s recent election win will mean more delays for the game’s release.
With Trump declaring victory today (November 6) in the 2024 presidential election after defeating Kamala Harris, gamers fear what this could mean for GTA.

The interview from six years ago is now being shared again online, with many people taking to social media to give their thoughts.
One user wrote: “This is genuinely hilarious now, who could’ve predicted that 7 years later, right on the year GTA 6 finally releases, Trump is re-elected.”
And another said: “GTA 6 will be delayed by four years now.”
Still, all hope is not quite lost - Houser left Rockstar in 2020 which might mean that the release of the video game will remain unaffected.

One former developer of the game has said that it will ‘blow people away’, claiming that the studio has raised the bar.
Time will tell whether Trump’s election victory impacts the highly anticipated release of GTA 6.
The Republican candidate is due to become the first convicted criminal to be elected president, with his inauguration set to take place on January 20, 2025.
