One man bought knock-off Apple products online so you don't have to.

YouTuber Dantic went on AliExpress to buy a fake iPhone, AirPods, AirPods Max, Apple Watch, and even a Vision Pro lookalike – and some of them were almost too good to be true.

Starting with the AirPods, Dantic was stunned by how real they looked.

For one, they arrived in packaging that had the Apple logo and an accompanying leaflet which read 'Designed by Apple in California.'

The unboxing felt like the real deal too, from the unboxing to the weight of the in-ear gadgets in his hand.

He couldn’t believe his eyes (or ears) when he put them to the test.

"These feel unbelievably real," Dantic pointed out. "They feel about the same weight as AirPods."

He then questioned to the camera: "Are these real AirPods? These cost me £18!"

He then put the gadgets up to the ultimate sound test, expecting all the branding to be a cover for the major drop in sound quality.

But he couldn't have been more surprised.

"The sound is actually good," he exclaimed.

And they even had the same sensors to pause music when you take them out like Apple does. For that level of accuracy, he gave them a solid 9/10.

His viewers couldn't believe the uncanniness either.

"OK THE AIRPODS ARE DEFINITELY IDENTICAL," said one convinced viewer.

"HOW ARE SOME OF THESE ACTUALLY CLOSE TO THE REAL THINGS," added another.

"now i wanna buy those fake airpods," added another.

Onto a device called the iW9mini, which is the Apple Watch equivalent, it offered some cool features like gesture controls, multiple interfaces, a remote camera option, and Flappy Bird. But not everything lived up to the hype.

Out of his purchases, however, these two seemed to be the only legit functioning ones.

The $12.52 AirPods Max is where it took a downturn.

"They actually feel uncomfortable," Dantic commented.

The advertised 'metal' turned out to be 'hollow plastic' and they broke quite easily - with not a lot of force from the YouTuber albeit.

Hilariously, the $100 iPhone he purchased turned out to literally be an 'Android reskinned to be an Apple product.'

When he tried opening Safari, it launched Google Chrome, and 'Apple Photos' turned out to be Google Photos.

Finally, there was the $300 Vision Pro replica, which is quite expensive in that a similar price would buy you the Meta Quest 2 and 3.

The Vision Pro knockoff was shaky, with delayed movements and poor camera quality that left him feeling queasy.

Sometimes it's better to pay more when you know what you're getting.
