Whether it’s scribbling down notes in an important work meeting or trying to get some key pieces of information onto paper during a university lecture - note taking can be a nightmare.
However, one expert has revealed a life-changing function available on your Apple devices that not a lot of people know about.
Jen Dove - who is known online as techgirljen - has lifted the lid on some useful ways to make the most of your iPhone after earning herself a fanbase of nearly 300,000 followers on TikTok by offering up her insight on all things tech related.

Jen has now revealed that iPhone users are ‘completely underutilizing’ the Notes app.
Speaking to UNILAD Tech, she said: “A lot of people think that they need to get a special type of notes app.”
However, that’s not the case, according to the tech expert.

If you’re sick of trying to take quick notes everyday, you’re in luck because there’s a hidden function in the Notes app that could make things a lot easier.
Jen explained: “You can do an audio recording now in Notes and it will transcribe it for you.
“I have two kids that are in college, and I'm like, ‘hey, if you're not great at note taking, did you know that Notes has this capability of listening to your environment and then just transcribing it for you right there in Notes?’ That's a really great feature.”

And that’s not the only feature hidden within the Notes app, according to Jen, Apple Intelligence comes with a whole host of ‘new writing tools that are there to help you with your writing’.
Other simple but little-known functions of the app include inserting your digital signature into the document as well as adding in charts.
Jen went on to say: “Also, I think totally underutilized, is the ability to scan documents right in and you can also scan text.
“So for example, if you're looking at something random or a news article, you can literally use the ‘scan text feature’ in Notes and it will scan that text and it'll put the text right inside of your Notes.

“Just like having a scanner in your pocket, if you need to send somebody a document, you can scan it, sign it, and send it in just a couple of clicks, just with your phone.”
Other tech tips the expert has previously shared include finding deleted messages on your iPhone.
She revealed that when you delete a text, Apple actually stores it for up to 45 days and can be recovered through a series of steps.
